They drove fine and has nice toys and cheap for a Merc.

But going into the new C class is like switching TL to a Neon interior wise. It horrid.

They definitely cut back on the interior material to bring in the toys.

 

Hey people, one more opinion please. Like a fool I went to Acura today just to see if their wasnt some extraordinary deal I could get to prevent me from purchasing my 05 TL whose lease is up on the 26th.

Im set on 24 month lease. I got 2 deals

1)08 Type-S!! White.

3)I will pax tax and tags at signing which are 2800
4)12k a year
5)61% residual
6)selling price of #35,906.77
7)money factor 0.001010
8)Reminder, this a 24 month lease
Can I do better.

Or I priced out a regular 08 TL with Navi

1)453 a month
2)12k a year
3)i will pay tax and tags which are 2800
4)selling price $34,098.33
5)money factor 0.001010
6)also 24 month lease

Im thinking perhaps the selling prices could be lower. Even though I think they are near invoice, they should have incentives to bring it down even lower. I still think all in all, considering the time of year, Tl production halted, 09 makeover on the horizon, that I could do better here. Any suggestions about sweetening this up?

Tax and tags are $2800??

That seems awfully high- shouldn't much of the cash you put down be cap cost that reduces the residual, rather than "tax?"
Here in CA, the tax is assessed on each monthly lease payment.

Your selling prices seem high too, esp. this late into the TL's life cycle.

There is always something shiny and new to help you make an expensive decision. What are you really gaining by changing to something that will have a lower residuial?

 

I couldnt help myself, I wound up leasing a new white TYPE-S. 2 year lease, 12k a year, 469 a month.

Its damn nice. Super stiff precise steering, noticeably faster, and of course just the mere fact that its another brand new vehicle.

the TL is as close to perfection as you can get. Buy it, you'll thank us later for it.
