Mph/kph
I cannot see the KPH during the day. Is there some way to make it brighter? Not an issue now, but will probably be taking a trip to Canada and I sure would like to not have to memorize the conversions.

On Max
I am on max. At night, I can see it if I am on max (not very well, but i can see it) but not during the day. Does anyone else have this problem?

When driving in Canada, I have never seen anyone pulled over for speeding and folks are running 20-30 kph over the limit all day long on the expressways. The Canadian drivers tend to be better about lane discipline than your average Yank. You get used to the kph-mph conversion fast if you are up there more than a few hours.

WTF? I never even realized that KPH was displayed in our car. I always thought it only had MPH. Unless your mistaking KPH for MPH, then the MPH should clearly stand out, even if your blind.

Very easy to do... Everybody who passed the fourth grade knows the basic 3/2 conversion. Then just drop off a little to compensate for the difference between 0.66 and 0.62.
kph = [mental conversion] = mph
15 = 10 - 1 = 9
30 = 20 - 2 = 18
60 = 40 - 4 = 36
100 = 60 - 6 = 54
150 = 100 - 10 = 90
etc...
Works for me, but then again, I ignore the speed limit and travel at the speed I feel comfortable.

pettydw is generally right - don't worry too much about getting a ticket up here - a good rule of thum is to just keep pace with left lane traffic vs. being the fastest car in the left lane.....

100 kph = 62 MPH, not 54. 8 over the limit gets you a ticket in my neck of the woods. Tryting to understand how zeeinNM would be less lost than he appears to be already. Hey Zee, attorney wants to know if you made it past the 4th grade?

In Quebec, where the higway speed limit is 100km/h, you can very safely go 115km/h and never get pulled over. I usually drive that speed and did so in my Prelude for 5 years and didn't get a speeding ticket once. Hopefully I'll have the same luck with my TL.
