Motor Trend Ranks 3G TL as car from the 2000's that has "Aging Gracefully"
#42
I...I don't see how you...got to that...conclusion....Ummmmm....
Edit: I'm going to assume after re-reading your post that you meant there are plenty of posters who talk down about the 3G yet MT has identified it as one of the best ageing vehicles. But....Yeah.

I meant it as, this thread was made to commemorate the TL and how well it has aged but it was derailed on the first page.

Does Cheacher win a prize for:
A. Having more thanks than posts as of right now, or...
B. Being thanked 12 times and counting on his first thanks...
But I agree, the 3G is aging gracefully, much like the e46 3 and e34 5 Series. Acura knows a thing or two about styling from time to time. The Legend Coupe still looks fly when done right.
The 3G still has one of the best front ends in the business; simple yet sinister, a money rear three quarter shot, although the front three quarter view does make it look a bit porky and ungainly. The long front overhang doesn't help either. Side view is solid. One area it looks dated to me is the rear. I came out of Barnes & Noble the other day and there was a new A4 parked next to mine, and that's when I really noticed it. It's the taillight structure and the high plate integrated into the trunk lid. It's still going to look good in ten years though.

I'll take any prize I can get anx1300c !!! Glad the thread instilled some passion out there.
By the way, I am also 100% in agreement that the 95 Legend has aged well. Particularly the coupe.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the next generation TL had a coupe? Any graphic artists out there want to take on the challenge of making a rendering of the beloved 3G as a coupe?

Guys-stay on topic. There are WAY TOO MANY threads that are way off.
If we don't stay on topic, threads will be closed. This is getting ridiculous....
It's good to see an article like that from someone like Motor Trend.

I think the 3G will be a good looking car forever.. and I agree with the Hulk.. I owned a very clean CB7.. it's still in the family. One of the best cars I've owned. The TL has many faults.. but overall, it's a weiner.
Also agree on the Legend. Definitely ahead of it's time.

When I got my car PDR'd last year the guy that did it said he loved the way the car looks and it still looks like it could be a brand new model. I totally agree.
BTW they forgot one car on that list:

Interesting concept, but I don't really see the point. Honda already has the Accord Coupe. Plus, the luxury FWD coupe market is microscopic.
