most miles on an 06?

My names Joe, I recently graduated college, I sold my 96 5 speed maxima and I just picked up my 06 silver TL auto with navi.
Do I have the most miles on an 06? the car has 142k miles! I was skeptical at first but the car was one owner and drives like new. Its mint and still smells new inside. The dealer recently changed the timing belt and water pump. Has new Pirelli tires. I talked them down to 11,995. Im happy with what I paid from an Acura dealer.
My sisters 98 Integra has 225k and still running strong. I love this car, I cant believe how great the gas mileage is, better than my 5 speed maxima.
This is a great forum, I already saved money on my XM, thanks!

These puppies will run forever if you take good care of them. that price seems a lil high for the mileage though. i got my 04 with 92k for $11500.

I've got 95,XXX. I bought it at 89,150...in August. I drive it a LOT and it takes it all in stride. I did have the stock battery almost burst on me, so be careful about that.

How did you save on XM?

My 2000 TL had 187K+ when I traded it for my 06 with 29K in Feb. I just clicked over 50K yesterday! Both were AM---a friend asked me, "So you traded a gray Acura for another gray Acura?"
Gray???? No way!

Its nice reasurrance to hear everyones great experience. This was a huge step up from my maxima, I love all the tech, its like an artpiece on wheels too.

Lazytik, I saved on XM by following looking at the thread on the audio forum. I was wondering how is my 06 alabaster silver different from the previous silvers? is it just the name

I've got 117k on my fully loaded '06. Welcome to the club, I'm pretty new myself =]

Did they offer you a free 3 month subscription for XM when you called in? The CSR who helped me was extremely nice and we held a conversation about us being college students (she's got a job at OSHA, XM, AND shes going to school at the same time!).

2005 6-speed, Second owner since 30k 2.5 years ago and I now have 168k. Doing 5k a month and the car is rock solid. It's a Honda product....Take car of it and it will take care of you! Your car looks like it was well taken care of and it is all highway miles which is what you want in a car.

I'm not the highest '06, but my clock is approaching 55K. It's been great. Over the Thanksgiving weekend we took it on a 1000 mile roundtrip. Car ran a like a real champ. Got a 500 mile roadtrip coming up in about 3 weeks and looking forward to it.

Thanks, Im babying the car so it should last me. wow 168k beats mine. Its amazing how solid these cars still are with the amount of miles. My last Honda was when I graduated highschool. It was a 94 Accord EX with 120k, was a solid car, even though the engine was loud and it shifted hard. I gave the car to my sister when I got my Maxima and its still solid, no problems.
Im still learning everything about this car. My phone is a Samsung flipshot and I cant get it to pair with the bluetooth. My friend got his blackberry to pair though. Im gonna try it again before I just get a new phone.

Did you get the 105k service done? or are you still on original timing belt and water pump?

Also at 142k on my '05, same as your '06, and NOBODY believes it when I first tell them, it looks and drives just like new. It's Ruby Red Pearl with the lighter tan interior, and was a 1 owner sales rep before me, all HWY miles and he had every required maint. done at a local all-Honda shop. 100% up to date service incl. t-belt when we bought it earlier this year at about 130k from the Acura dealer just up the road from us. He only traded it in because he wanted an RL.
We pretty much fell in love with the car there on the dealer's front row, and we probly could've found one cheaper...we paid around $14k but like I said that was several months ago.
Miles don't scare me on a Honda, one of the best cars I ever owned was a 91 Accord SE pushing 200k and just rock solid.

Sounds identical to my car. Same here, all hwy miles and all the maint. records. I found the car online and called the dealer the next day. I didnt know it had nav till I called the dealer. When I got there they had the car waiting for me to see with a full tank of gas. The salesman even showed me all the cars features and the voice activation. After I went for the test drive I was hooked since it drove like new.
Miles dont scare me on a Honda neither. My aunts 90 Accord 5 speed has 276k.

He had it done earlier this year, here is his thread: My 100,000 mile Journey...

BTW, I have about 115K miles on my '05 and still running strong.

60,3xx on my '06 no "real" problems ::knock on wood:: just rattles, noisy window regulators, lock cylinder, all done under warranty.

Great to hear all the good experiences, but I am not surprised. Acura's are just great cars. My '06 with 36K is the 5th Acura I have owned. This is by far the best car I've ever driven, but the '93 Legend coupe I had is a very close second.

Bought my 06 WDP Nav new in Oct. 2005 and now have 87K km (54K mi) on it. Just did the brakes and still have the original Michelin tires. Normally trade at 5 years but this car is still looking really good and has been trouble free.

Wow. Pretty clean car for that mileage. I got 135K on mine. Runs strong. All original clutch, plugs, timing, etc. Like I like to say "Its only got broken in". Doing an engine tune up soon. One of my axles is clicking thought. Anyone has the same issue?

Bad cv joint on one of the two front axles. Replace the one that has grease all over the place.

You take care of your car really well. The person that buys your car when you are done with it is going to have a gem.

^^ Thanks...My plan is to put 500k on it and give it back to Acura in exchange for a new one. Not sure how I'm going to do that but I have plenty of time before that comes up.
