Yeah if you have MRP it's gotta have the black interior without a doubt. That would be enough for me to pass on it.

That was funny above about something being weird because it doesn't have paddle shifters lol. Duuuuuuurrrr. Thank god it doesn't anyway as those things are the biggest joke in the world on the TL's transmission. 6mt all the way :-)

Upboat. Honda really fucked up on the paddle shifters. It might have been that they tried to incorporate it into the car to keep up with the recently released IS350 in '06.

Whats wrong with the paddle shifter? The RDX has them, they are useful when you want to drop down a gear before the computer thinks it's time to. when we do our family trips, we usually take the RDX and I end up driving it 99% of the trip and I use the paddle shift to drop a gear when I need more power to make lane changes, going up hill etc...

I think its a good thing Acura put it in.

Well im not saying its a bad thing they put them in, but overall they were useless to me when I had my automatic Type S. They werent fun by any means, they didnt shift the car quickly, downshifts were nothing special. I see you say you use the paddles to drop a gear for more power. Thats fine and all, but you know the car is automatic and it will drop a gear for you just push the gas pedal why get your hands involved? Just something I didnt use on mine.

Difference is that on the RDX, you can tap a paddle and have the transmission give you a lower gear without being in manual mode. The TL-S paddles did not operate this way. As for the transmission itself, you had to anticipate upshifts and downshifts by a pretty noticeable amount of time as they were pretty slow compared with a DSG or even a single clutch auto-mated manual.

All told, I found them pretty meh...

Ahh ok I see. Yeah the newer TSX's and TL's I have driven do the same where you can tap a paddle and use them without having to change the gear selector.
