Modifying the rear bumper of my '08 TLS

So I searched the forums but couldn't find anyone who had done this and posted anything yet.
I want to modify the lower center panel on my TLS rear bumper. Remove the faux mesh and replace it with real mesh but NOT crappy black spray painted chicken wire!
Has anyone else done this yet? What material did you use? Where did you get the materials from? I want an OE look, not just a bunch of ricer holes drilled in the back.
Thanks!

I want to make the rear bumper functional and not an air pocket, but I don't want to drill a bunch of holes in the bumper.
I found this Integra that started to do what I wanted to do, but I want a finished OE look.
THIS is the material I want to use!

my friends did the spray painted black chicken wire, ONLY because they didnt want to buy the OE piece, when they upgraded to the Aspec

Depends on what you consider a lot of work and little results. 90% of the cars on the road today are designed for 90% of the consumers: Average drivers commuting to and from home and work. For the other 10%, like me, we want more from our cars. Better overall performance. That's why there are companies such as Ferrari and Lamborghini who know this but also charge accordingly. How many Ferrari owners REALLY drive their cars the way they were designed to be driven? Maybe 25%? 40% at best. Most will stay parked in garages or in front of Starbucks.
While most on here are doing total cat deletes and muffler deletes, I am actually researching these set ups online and in person to see and hear for myself and see which set up works best for me - not the internet. I have NO intension of slamming my TLS to the ground and putting negative 50 degrees camber in my wheels! Where are the positive results in doing that???
Instead I invest my money and time on Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires and complete exhaust systems. That's just my preference.
The 'parachute' effect is very real and if you do a lot of highway driving as I do, it does affect your vehicle negatively. Acura did do a surprisingly great job with aerodynamics on the 3G TL, but again they are still catering to the majority of drivers on the road while also keeping costs low.
So that is why I am interested in doing this mod. If no one else has done this, then maybe I'll just have to be the first and see how it goes.

The Ferrari F430 is basically a street legal race car. Both vents and diffusers are used to maximize drag and reduce turbulance
The TL has a lot of R&D work when it comes to underbody aerodynamics but there is still room for improvement.

Yep, I already messaged him a few days ago but no response yet. I'm hoping to find a sheet of that material somewhere.

Will do! Might have to take a quick detour and mod my exhaust first though!
