modifying passenger's seat
Am considering buying a new TL, but due to her chronic back problems, my wife insists on lumbar support on both front seats of any car we buy. She is currently driving a Volvo S80 T6, which is a wonderful car when it is not in the shop. It is, however a $45K auto.
Does anyone know of an aftermarket seat which is a good fit for the TL, and or a place that will install it? Also, can the Shukra lumbar system (like on the driver's seat) be installed in the passenger seat by a custom installer?
Am looking for some experience on this issue if anyone on the TL web can help.

Im not sure about modifiying the car seat. You will have to be carefull with the airbag in the seat. If you remove the seat for something else and your passanger is injured its your responsibilty. If its just your family no worries on law suits hopefully. Im not sure about modifying the lumbar support but if somebody knows they will let you know. Good luck.

Burning Brakes
if you've seen the diagram of the passenger seat in that car, almost the entire back is sensors related to the multi-stage air bags. There aint a lot of room left.
We can thank all the people who wanted them to turn off, or to go slower, or anything else but just BANG when they went off. Sure, other cars have that and lumbar, and heat, but I guess acura just couldn't cram it all in one seat back.
