Modifying drivability, not power

Modifying drivability, not power
So it's been a long time since I was in the TL game and a lot of new things have since popped up for sale that in theory can increase the driving pleasure of our cars.
So I recently picked up a TLS and I remembered how much I hated the DBW delay on these. My overall goal with my car is to achieve a much higher standard of drivability. I'm not 22 anymore and I don't care for fuqboi things like every last hp out of it. I want reliability, I want consistent and linear power, and most of all throttle response. Ive read about people doing larger intake components but that seems to lead to weird drivability issues with hiccups or idle surge.
What has a proven track record for parts lists that will efficiently increase the responsiveness, as well as smooth out the power band on the Type S's with the exception of Flashpro, while not shifting the power and to be all top end only?

No issues here, drives like stock...I've only read about issues when doing the 3.7L swap on a manual.
If you don't care about power and just want reliability, the best answer is just leave it 100% stock then
If your throttle response or car overall feels sluggish, you need a tune up mate, not aftermarket. Clean the TB, upper mani, lower mani, do new fluids and new plugs. How many miles?
Other than that, leave it stock and get a hondata.

Ps: the cable to the DBW can stretch / get loose over time and can be re-adjusted. You might want to look into that if a tune up doesn't wake the car up, or maybe even check it first.

Also, if your motor mounts are gone, that could be adding to the slow response you're feeling. New motor mounts should button things up again. Check the tranny mounts too.
If manual trans, new fluid, check valve delete, bushings, shift knob and short throw shifter can enhance the shift feel, if you enjoy that sort of thing.
If auto trans, read around about pressure switches and whatever else might need some TLC. New fluid as well.
Suspension, tires and brakes always makes a car feel / drive better and doesn't affect power performance. At the least, you should check sway bar bushings and front lower control arm bushings, especially the compliance bushings.
Minor weight reduction can also help without affecting power output. You can do some bolt ons here, like a light weight UR pulley from XLR8, and if you feel like spending some $ a lightweight flywheel / rotors / wheels should help put more power to the ground without messing with engine output and reliability.
Then, whatever you like cosmetically speaking...

J-Pipe, it's a mod that adds power, sometimes MPG and as well keeps you, the owner a lot happier!
If you are concerned about the DBW delay, you can invest in a sprint-booster and that may help since it alters the DBW signal.
Change out all the fluids, filters and plugs, check out the alignment. The front control arm bushings tend to wear out quickly/tear and are worth replacing before getting an alignment. I did mine at 190K and the difference was amazing!
