Minor fender-bender today - Advice please
Before anybody suggests my post is useless w/o pics, I can see - and feel - the damage on my rear bumper, although a camera may not see it. It's noticeable to me though.
So an old lady bumped me in the mall parking lot. A few scrapes & dents + some spacing between the bumper and tail lamp. Insurance co is coming out next week to take a look. I'm not at fault so not worried about insurance/deductible issues.
Scenario 1: Insurance co replaces back bumper: no issue, as long as the color match is right
Scenario 2 (where I need your collective help): I have little experience w/ body shops, though I know my TL. What do I tell these guys and how do ensure fix it right? Should I go to my Acura dealer just to be safe?
Thanks,
G

The insurance adjuster may wait for them to take off the bumper to see if the clips that hold it on were damaged. If they were, new bumper, but if not, they my just use some bondo and repaint it.

I doubt any clip were broken, bondo is not needed they will just sand, prime it and repaint it, I think they use heat to get the shape back if it is dented... my guess is you have surface abrasions which when sanded down back to the abs is no biggie... figure like $400 in labor no parts
