Minnesota Dealers
Hi, I just wanted to see if anyone bought their TL from an Acura dealer in Minnesota. If you did, how was your experience? What kind of price did you get? It seems that everyone is basically asking for MSRP. The best they will do is knock off destination. The next closest dealer is in Iowa, which I haven't even checked out yet.
Thanks,
DM

Hey Mouse,
I bought mine at Bloomington Acura and have had a great experience with them so far (4 weeks). Your right though, they are not dealing much on these cars. I got them to throw in the protection package (splash gaurds, trunk liner, winter mats, and wheel locks) plus they took about $600 off MSRP.
I talked to a guy who bought one from White Bear and he said they did not deal at all on his vehicle.
At Bloomington Acura they didn't jerk me around when I purchased the car and have been very responsive to questions and making sure I'm happy with the vehicle. Tony Russell is who I worked with at Bloomington.

Bloomington Acura
I bought mine at Bloomington Acura as well. And pretty much the same story. Since mine is a 6MT they held to MSRP, but did throw in the protection package on the deal.
This was a better price than I was quoted at Buerkle Acura. They wanted MSRP plus the cost of the protection package. They'd only deal on in stock vehicles and the 6MT pickin's was slim - one vehicle.
I worked with Erick Nelson at Bloomington Acura, he handles the Internet sales, and he treated me very well. Went to the effort of doing a dealer search and trade for the AM/NAVI/6MT I wanted and the whole transaction went very, very smoothly. They also gave me a fair trade-in on my car. No high pressure, no B.S.
Bloominton is where we got our first Acura's, an 87 Integra RL and an 88 Legend Coupe. I've always been pleased with their customer service and service department.
I'm not sure you'll fair any better in Des Moines, the dealer there isn't that big. Don't know much about Acura of Omaha these days, but back in the 80's they were notorious for packing the crap out of their window stickers.
Good luck on your quest.

Thanks for the replys. Since they aren't budging on the price, I am going to wait until the 2005s come out, even though my wife is pressing.

Interesting. Interesting.
Your best bet is to move away from MN.
I lived in MN for a couple years (in Woodbury). I had a 25 mile-each-way commute to Roseville everday. My old 330i never forgave me for it. :'( I moved to MN from the SF Bay Area. The car was brand new in California, but after 2 years in MN it looked about 10 years old.
I'm now living in an area with much milder winters. I'm glad I'm not in MN anymore. I shudder to think of my new TL coverd with road salt, clutch and steering wheel stiff as hell from -40 dgree wind chills, and desperately trying to avoid the median ditches on I-35E.
