Miles to Emtpy jumps 20 miles
 

Has anyone ever seen their Miles to Empty indicator jump 20 miles in a matter of minutes? I had mine reading at 239 miles to empty. I notice it go down slowly as I drive. But after 30 miles of driving, I noticed that it now read 259 miles to empty. How can that be? This is the second time I have observed this.

The manual says that the miles to empty is calculated only on the previous "few" miles. If you are mashin' around town then suddenly lock in cruise control on the freeway, your miles to empty will double.

I have...if you clear out your computer, the miles til empty meter relies on your average miles per gallon to estimate how much further you can go before the juice runs out. Therefore, the distance til empty meter is continually changing
