I say keep it someone earlier made the most legit comment saying something along the lines of how much you would loose in taxes etc. if you did sell and go for a base.
Yeah, my thought was to go with a 2004/2005 with 80k miles...which would drop the price significantly. Not just downgrade to an 08 TL.

Anyway, yeah I'm keeping my car, and I hope it lasts me a really long time.

Spoken like a boss.

Exactly. Well said. I'm starting to see this more lately.

I dont doubt that the steering ratio is the same for base and type s, but having stiffer steering feels better when driving fast

we're starting to debate semantics and opinion...

I think what we can gather from this whole thread is that overall, the TL, in all it's forms is very well worth the money, has a lot of bang for the buck and is loved by it's owners.

Well put! At the end of the day you will be driving a TL, doesn’t matter if its base for an S.

Everyone think that i have a type s and is only a 04. My car looks better than any stock type s with my big 19" and my suspention 2.5 inch drop apart from having all the exterior body parts from a type s. I only pay 9.5k just has it is.

I saved 10-15k.
