MID query: "B" service (as opposed to "B1," "B2," etc.)?
My MID dinged at me this week saying "Service Due Soon"; underneath this it shows simply the letter "B." That sounds reasonable since I've got about 17,500 miles. The other day I was thumbing through the manual, though (stuck in a line of cars with no other reading material), and I noticed that it seems to imply that the MID will call for "B1" or "B2" or whatever. I've also noticed that posts on here generally refer to "A1" or "B1."
Mine has never shown a number together with a letter—it's always said just "A" or "B" the three or four times it's come on. Anyone know if this is right? Is one (or more) of the numbers always supposed to appear?

I'm sitting in the dealer as we speak and my MID said "B" service. Basically, there are A services, B services, and subservices labled with numbers. I'm not sure if it tells you what they are in the owners manual but in the Helms manual, it tells you what each service entails. I'm guessing it's normal to have some variability in whether you need to do a subservice at the time of your A or B service.
