Metal part of steering wheel really warm...normal???
Is it normal for the metal part of the steering wheel to get pretty warm. The metal part next to the gear shift also gets pretty warm...is this normal?
Also, at 500 miles, I'm down to 90% oil life...is this too soon?

As for the metal part of your steering wheel, I'm going to assume that you're talking about the metal trim that surrounds the controls on one of the spokes. If this is what you mean, are you running around with your headlamps on in the daytime and your dash lights set on MAX? If so, the warmth is from the little lights in the switches.
"metal part next to the gear shift" ??
Down to 90% oil life after 500 miles, eh? Where and how do you drive (by "where" I mean is it all city or what)? While not unusual to hit 90% at 500 miles, it really depends upon the two factors in my question.

Yeah, I do have the daytime headlamps on during the day and the dash lights set at max. How do you turn it off during the day?
As for the metal trim next to the gearshift, what I was actually referring to was the metal trim surronding the gear stick.
I would say that I drive about 65% city and the remaining on the highway. Is that a bad thing? I'm I not breaking in the engine correctly? When mileage where you at when you hit 90% oil life. Should I just go on a long trip or something. I'm really concerned about this because I want to have this car for a while.

Also SouthernBoy, I don't drive aggressively at all. I make big effort to go light on the pedal and light on the brakes. In addition, whenever I'm at a red light and the light turns green, I pull off so slowly that everyone pretty much just passes me.
