Memory Seat issue?

I am a little confused on the memory seats. Sometimes when I get in the car it says "Driver2 Detected" and other times it says "Driver 1 Detected"
I saw in another thread that there is some problem with the memory seats?
Just wondering..

Don't think it should affect you. It seems to have been an issue only in early VIN's. My VIN is 29xxx and I've had no problems with the memory at all.

I've done everything I can to create a memory seat problem for the last 6 months. I have driver 1 set to move the seat all the way back and up when I get in. Then I press driver 2 to put the seat in my driving position. Not one failure in 6 months.

He's worn out three seat motors, mind you, but not one memory failure.

Thumbs up Tsb# 04-005.

VINs up to 018476 for US model.

Cars with VINs after it could be ok... This TSB is not saying early VINs would have problems with thier Memory System, but indicating the instruction to check it up. If you don't have issues, it's unnecessary for replacing.

I have an early build too and I'm continuing to experience this problem. How did you get it fixed, exactly? Thanks!

There is an Acura TSB 04-005 dated March 2, 2004, which covers vehicles up through VIN 018476, which specifies replacement of the driver's side power seat control unit.

See your Service Manager. If he does not have the replacement part, he can order it. P/N 81628-SEP-A02
