I know in NY you can get much better. Non-nav should be ~$30,500 or so. I was quoted $30,200 for a non-nav '04 back in April.

Keep shopping. I'm sure Cali isn't that much higher than NY

Other than Todd's powerbuy the best I found was at Downey Acura but I got Navi ($34k). I spoke with Cheryl there. Tell her Rick sent you. She may give you a deal.

The guys at Keyes Acura in Van Nuys told me that they will beat any price quote you bring them. All you have to do is remember to bring the paper with the printed quote.

Did you do that and they beat the Powerbuy price?

I bought mine at Santa Monica Acura for 31,300. I worked with Louis over there, but I was originally working with Keyes all week until I found better prices. Out of courtesy, I let Keyes know and all they can tell me was to come in. I probably could've got one with navi knowing their aggressive style and the fact that they don't work with other dealerships. GL!

The 05s seem to be discounting a bit nicer than the 04s were. Not signifigant, but things have improved a bit...

I have only shopped on the internet, and have found several dealers that will give $1500 off MSRP, so I am hoping to take that quote into a dealer, and have them beat it.

If anyone is interested in which dealer, let me know.

Michael

Hey HJIN25,

You can call Joe at Cerritos Acura and he'll give you $1500 off MSRP - at least he did for me. He's a fleet dealer. Send me a private message for his number.

It's the group (or person) in the dealership that deals with volume sales. They commonly only deal with those making a purchase of multiple cars.

Check out this deal we set up last month at Cerritos...

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97561

Basically it is about 1600.00 off the MSRP. Though the deal is 'offically' over - speak with Randall and see what the wait would be and if it would be possible to put your name on the wait list. I do know if you are interested in the manual transmission, it is not going to happen (They are already several weeks/months backordered). But if you want the automatic and depending on your color combo, he might extend you the deal....

There are some requirements - so read the thread to see if it would work for you....

Hope it helps...

Marin Acura has a lot of 04's that they are trying to push off the lot. I bought my 6spd 04 long time ago for 31000 so im sure they will go lower now.

I got $1400 off of MSRP at Sierra Acura in Alhambra for a 5AT/NAVI. Because I wanted Antracite/Ebony, I have to wait about 2 more weeks. It was a very easy deal to make, and William Lam, the salesman, is easy to work with.

Finally remembered how I got Lam's name in the first place. Lore was down in SoCal for a biz trip and was looking for a 2004 TL last year. He mentioned Lam as someone he thought was good.

Thanks, Lore.

Lam is Asian, if that's what you mean. I understand he's a USC grad and noticed quite a few plaques in his cube for outstanding sales. So, I gather he's pretty successful in what he does. But, all that matters to me is that a salesman is knowledgeable, professional, no BS, and--above all--gives me a good deal.

I didn't say he wasn't sucessful, professional or isn't capable of providing a good deal...all I said was he sounded like a fob. I am Asian as well.

If you're still looking for a deal, you might want to give him a try. I only spent about 15 minutes with him the first time and told him what I wanted to pay. He said he needed to check with his GM who was going to be out a couple of days. As promised, he called me back with their offer which I accepted. No sweat, no haggling. This was so different from other salespeople I contacted who didn't call back; didn't return email; or who told me "no way" right off the bat.

I didn't make a counteroffer as I felt $1400 off sticker was pretty good already tho not as good as Todd's power buy. If you bargained with him, he might come down a little more......I don't know. And, if you do deal with him, tell him the Asian guy that got his name from the internet referred you. That way, you can start off at sticker minus $1400 and go from there.

Good luck.
