Looking to buy my first TL-S, need advice on pricing.

Hey guys this is my first post, I've been looking for a TL-S for the last few months and one popped up that looks really good and clean. I just want your guys advice on the pricing so I get a good deal.

There is a 2007 Acura TL Type-S (A-Spec Limited Edition) for sale that I'm interested in.

73000 km/45360 miles
no accidents
original owner
scheduled mantenience done at Acura dealership only
"A-Spec is a limited edition, factory tuned body kit with 18" alloys, Brembo brakes, carbon fiber and aluminum interior trim (very exclusive limited edition)."

Price is $21500
On vmrcanada.com, it says this car is worth $16252(wholesale) and $19450(retail). This car has the A-spec kit though, so I don't know.

What would be a good price for this car? What should I offer?

Offer 18,500, a good deal would be $17000 $21,500 is overpriced, but the TL is rare if it is a M/T, is it auto trans or manual? If manual it is rare.

the a-spec kit isn't "limited edition". you can buy the kit here from one of our vendors.

all 6MT TLs from 04-06 have the brembo brakes. All 07-08 TL Type-S models have them as well, both 6MT and 5AT.

either way, i'm sure the car is in very good condition. try to bring down the price a little if you can though! good luck

Nvm after seeing some of the other photos it looks like the paint isnt in the best condition. Swirls and scratches everywhere. Im sure it could be polished up by a detailer tho.

I think i like WDP better, dont want the hassle of dust and swirls on a NBP.

Not a bad price, especially with the A-spec wheels and body kit. Unfortunately, it's much harder to find a clean low-mileage TL-S in Canada than in the U.S. and people price their cars accordingly.

I think anywhere between 18-19K would be considered a fair deal. Try to talk him down a little.

Good luck!

It's not an outrageous price, but I wouldn't call it a good deal. If you can get it for less than 19,500 then I would say it's a good deal.

If you've looked at the car and feel it's in great shape, then make an offer. Worst they'll say is no. They should take your offer if it's over 20,000. As I mentioned to you earlier, + points for low mileage, + a few points for A-Spec.

If someone else gets it first, here's a black '07 TL-S for $17,000 with 116,000 km. It's in the lower mainland. You could most certainly pick it up for less than that.

That one has had a rear end accident causing either 4000 or 6000 worth of damage. Not too big of a deal but i prefer my cars to be accident free.

I've looked at that one on craigslist, the seller put rebuilt at the end of the ad. Then he removed it.

No such thing as a 2007 Acura TL Type-S (A-Spec Limited Edition). The A-spec is an optional kit, not a limited edition. It is a nice addition to the TL-S, I wish mine had it. Kits may be hard to come by as the TL's age. That TL looks nice though.

Yeah I knew that. That's just how the seller advertised it.

Have you emailed the seller yet? Cause if you dont buy it first i might.

The way the Type-S value have been going up in the past 2-3 months here in Vancouver is insane. A clean <100k KM one is at least 23K+

Now even high mileage/rebuilts are going for 17-18k

dngo it didn't come from the factory that way, but if he bought it new, it would have come from the dealership that way.

You haven't pulled the trigger on this yet???

I saw this one on CL. It looks good but I personally like the mt way more than auto.
I just bought a rebuilt 6 spd mt (rebuilt due to vandalism pretty much dents in every panel)
I didn't know what I was getting but it looks like I have a rare gem with the a-spec kit. Quite excited to get it out of the body shop
