Looking to buy a High Mileage TL-S

So thinking about buying a Acura TL-S and the ones with mileage that I have found between 80-101k miles have been priced really well. Any down side to buying high mileage car?

With this car, so long as the maintenance record is valid and well documented, no.

There are a few known issues with the TL, but that'll be a systemic fault representative of ANY mileage TL, and is easy to fix.

Oh nice. I found a TL-S w/ 101k miles for 16k. With my trade in it should drop down to 13K. debating on if I should pull the trigger. haha

If you find one that's around 100,000 miles, you've got a major service scheduled for 105,000 (timing belt, etc...).

+1 on 105K service cuz it run few hundreds, you probably need new TPMS/tire if they are not already changed

more mileage = higher chance of the TL having cosmetic damage which is only natural.also, it makes u wonder y the owner sold it if it was sooo "reliable"

I think cause most people tend to buy new cars when warranty runs out? who knows. haha. I think my next step is to part out my car to recoup sound cash to put a larger deposit down.

my TL-S with 90k miles drives like brand new and the interior looks better than many cars with under 50k miles...maybe cuz im a lightweight so the seats dont really get worn out by me. 90k of me driving will be less wear and tear on the seat than 30k of a heavyweight driving.

They grew tired of it and wanted a newer car comes to mind. Salty response is salty.

people don't only sell a car because its having issues. most just want to move on to something newer and better.

Or they have something change in their lives and need something different.
