look at nada.com and kbb.com to geet the values in your area. Make sure the timing belt service was done, it was due at 105K miles. That'll run 600-1200 depending on where you get it done. Only you can really decide if it's a good deal.

If the 105k service was done, that's a pretty good deal. Might be able to knock off a couple hundred if you try hard enough.

105k service and clutch since the clutch life expectancy is some what lower than your normal MT car, we had seen member state their clutch start to slipping as low as 40k miles.

Has anyone mentioned the 105,000 mile checkup?

Sorry, just kidding.....that's an important part.

Those are people who obviously don't know how to drive manual. Conversely, there are members pushing 200k on the original clutch, who do know how to drive. This particular car could fall anywhere in that spectrum. You're not going to find too many TLs that had their clutch replaced early, "just because". That said, $9800 sounds like a great price if the car is clean.

I'm at 133k on the original clutch with no issues. I also drive the car more gently the longer I have it ('06 for 6 years now). I think $9800 is on the average to higher side from what I've seen actually sold on ebay lately. If the TB is done, brakes and tires are somewhat new and the body is near mint, then it may make sense.

I got one for $6000 CAD or about 5k US if that means anything... Exact same as what you're looking for with 130k miles. Its a pretty nice car, I came out of a 2000 V6 Accord auto. Good luck with the search.

Black on black... if you live in a hot climate, it will be extra toasty inside. I have an '06 6sp white w/ tan interior and it is still toasty. As already mentioned, check NADA and Kelly Blue Book. Then check your local listings (Craigslists, etc) to get an even better idea as to what the market truly dictates. Oh, and part of the bargaining technique... don't look too excited about the 6sp manual. Ideally, they should command a lower price due to the limited demand even though they are the cat's meow. Best of luck!

Uhhh no...Its got upgraded components and is in a niche market why should it command a lower price? Stick shift is 1 in 100 so while it may be harder to sell because there's less demand, the people who are looking for a unicorn will shell out the extra bucks.

Our car in auto is a run of the mill sedan, with 6MT combined with the ballsy V6 and its refinement make it a real enthusiast's car.

P.S Enthusiast doesn't mean ricer boy.

Let me rephrase: use the fact that it's stick as a bargaining tool. Just because you want a unicorn, doesn't mean you want to show how excited you are thtayou found and are very willing to take home. If you an show your cards up front, you wont stand a chance in the negotiation. Take it from a guy who used this exact technique to purchase my '06 stick.... I got a great deal. Again, best of luck!

See it, touch it, feel it, drive it. If you really like it and you're willing to spend the money, then it's a good deal.

If you're really worried or don't fully trust your own opinion, pay $80-$150 at a local reputable shop to get a PPI done. It's a small price to pay when spending 10k and if anything will make negotiations easier.

Where are you located? I've been debating selling mine if you're interested...

04, 6speed, navigation, camel interior (just reupholstered the seats), 180k miles though so it's cheaper obviously :) PM me if you're interested..
