Look what hater(s) did to my baby
on the 31th of April, I park my car in a shopping center and some hater keyed both side of my car. the scratches are really deep, all the way down to the metal. it's really painful to see how bad my baby got scratch up. I don't get why anyone would do something like this to other people's car. Does it make them fell their car look better than others? i tried to go around the businesses to find surveillance video to see who did it, but no luck. Every business had their cameras viewing inside of the store. I went to the body shop and they estimated $2800 and 2 weeks to repaint the car. That’s me without my baby for 2 weeks, what am I gonna do without her?
Doesn’t anyone have experience with repainting the car. Please give me some input.

i'm sorry to see your tl in such conditions. idk how you are so calm, haha i'd be 12x as furious. but hopefully all goes well.
i had to get my 2gen tl repainted, but that only took a week i believe. maybe check a different shop? all i can think is, with 2 weeks to repaint, they'll make sure she's perfect again.

Damn dude that sucks, I know how you feel. The entire driver's side of my Mazda was keyed down to the metal. Cost me $1000 and a week and a half without her.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your car. My 2001 Nissan Altima SE was keyed by our neighbors in back in 2002! I was pissed!! We called the cops on them but couldnt pressed charges cause we had no proof. I hope you can somehow find out who did this so they can pay for it!

just remember that people will always hate. F them, and get it fixed and just be a little more cautious where you park. I know that this shit happens anywhere, but it is always good to keep an eye out..

But here is the sad part.....90% of people that will do such a low thing are people you know...a stranger would not have a a reason to damage your car...but a friend will.

My "friend" back in high school punched my car and left a big dent (still don't know why). Without the camera evidence in the parking lot of my school I would have never known my "friend" did it. Needless to say I kicked his ass

Ouch! That hurts to see. Call your insurance company, your comprehensive should cover the cost to repair it. I'm thinking you will have to pay your deductible, but that should be all. Good luck, I hope you get it fixed asap!

I heard a way to fix it with DIY, but I have never tried it.
I think you get the pen paint from the dealer and scribble in the paint on the scratch.
Then get this product called " NewFinsh" in a orange can and buff it out.
The quality probably doesn't look good as $2500 paint work, however, if you don't want to spend that much money, then you should go for the DIY.
Like I said.. i heard about this from the car wash detailing dude... does anyone know if this actually works???

thanks for all the tips and kind words. I have filed claim with statefarm. i have to pay $250 in deductible. One good thing is i get $10 each day if i don't get a rental car. so i will be end up paying $110.
i alway make sure that my car is park straight and far way other people's car, and i alway park in the last row in the school parking lot, which is quarter mile alway from my class. even though i park so far alway, i still get minor scratches on my door.
BTW: i did 1.5" drop and the tire size is 230/30/20

That sucks. Sorry bro. Unfortunately I think it's someone that knows you or had contact with you and is pissed especially if they did it on both sides! I could see a punk a$$ low life doing it for no reason on one side and getting the hell out of there but for someone to do it on both sides, I'm guessing it's someone you know.
