Going back to the start, it looks like your aunt got her car in without hitting you. So there may be hope in the future she can get her car out without hitting you.

If I were you, I'd offer to valet-park her IS-350 next to your TL to avoid future collisions. Better yet, put her car behind yours, so she can back-out without hitting it.

I have seen a neighbor across the street back straight out of their garage into a vehicle that was parked completely behind the garage door. The car backup-out rear bumper to the parked car's front bumper in a straight-on hit.

People get in a bad habit of not even looking behind them as the garage door goes up and just start backing out of the garage.

My suggestion to you is to offer to park your Aunt's car in her garage by backing-in her car into the garage. Now when she goes to leave in the morning, unless she is totally blind, she will see your car.

Why all the suggestions to help Aunt Jane drive? How is my man FramedVision (we boys now since you gonna get me that new laptop ala Aunt Jane) gonna get a new subwoofer and rear kit from RJ (when he backs in at night and parks accidentally in the middle of the driveway) if you guys keep giving Aunt Jane tips? Sheesh! Work with the man!

Sure-fire method to get that RJ? With about a 3am wake up call for Aunt Jane by yelling "Fire! Fire" "Get your car out Aunt Jane before it blows!"

You don't need a backup camera... you need to turn your head around and look out the back window with your freakin eyes! I don't know if this situation would have been avoided with a backup camera. Seems like a case of complete carelessness to me. Good thing it was a car and not a kid on a bike.

Nothing against Aunt Jane... she seems like a nice lady.

WTF is350 is hella nice car. If your gonna buy a $40k at least get the backup sensors! I have that on my TL and its very handy!

Yea I got those! Why are they annoying? The only thing I think would be annoying is it beeps one time everytime you shift to reverse, but I get so use to it its no problem. And I'm talking about sensors for the is350 dummy! Lol did you think I was talking about having them on his TL? Wtf would that do in this situation? Anyways if your car has backup sensors and you hit something backing up, you have to be really really stupid or just backing up way to fast. If his aunt had backup sensors I doubt she would have hit his car.

Damn! My bad! Late night half-asleep browsing will have you posting dumbass stuff! (LOL@myself) I said the beeping was annoying becuz I was confusing back-up sensors with those things on vehicles that beep continuosly when they just go in reverse! Doh! Too bad they only give you five minutes to edit comments. My ass needed a night's sleep as you see to recognize that one! LOL!
