Leather Seats Part 2

A while back I stated that I had the butt print problems and took my car back to the dealer and they agreed to replace it. From my understanding the leather and cushions are separate pieces and they only replaced the leather. I think that explains why after they replaced the leather my seat didn't look much better. After driving my car for about another month and a half it was back to the same way that it was before. I took the car back to the dealer telling them that this shouldn't be happening with a new car and thats when the theory about the cushion being the problem. Now they are ordering a cushion which I think should do the trick. I'll keep you guys posted.

You just proved that my theory was right. My driver side leather looks really good. But, the passenger side looks like a crap. I immediately thought that it was the cusion, not the leather.

Could you let us know how easy it is to remove the leather? I am tempted to put some seat cushion on my own.

I'm not sure how hard that would be. I'm taking it to the dealer. However, I was thinking about doing the same exact thing because I could see it happening again even after the dealer fixes it. Also sitting with your wallet in your back pocket will contribute to the problem. Thats how my problems started.

No problema!

I've had my car since April and no problem with the Camel leather. <knock on plood>

I keep it conditioned. It is glove soft and flexible. It stretches when people sit on for a while. Then it contracts when they don't.
