Lease is up - next car is...
My 04's lease is up in under 3 months. I can't bring myself to get another one or buy this out of the lease (only like 15Grand) as the service has been terrible everywhere I've gone (dealers in 3 states). Oil changes that turn into a week of checking for this that, etc. A squeak that ended up needing a whole new backseat, shock, bumper mounts.
So, here's a short list of candidates:
Mazdaspeed3
09 Mazda 6
09 Nissan Maxima SE
Pontiac G8
only stick is the 3 - I like to row
thoughts welcome

I'm digging the 09 Maxima!! Only thing is I am spoiled with Acura level of service, free loaners, good customer service, so my next car will likely be 09 G37 Sedan so I can get the good service still and treatment. I have yet to get decent treatment of that level from any domestic of import mainstream name plate.

from your list of cars, i'd take the MS3
my friend has one, and it drives really well. It's fast, looks good (in my opinion), spacious, and fun to drive.
you do miss out on a few luxuries (i.e. voice activated navi, bluetooth, etc.), but the speed, fun, and price tag are on par, if not better, than the TL

If you are buying cars based on the customer service you get when the car is in for service, buy a BMW they have to be top notch because those cars are in for problems so often. So much so that BMW offers free service on their cars to hide the durability issues. Once you buy the car you should never see the dealer again unless things break, which shouldn't happen. As far as the car, keep it honda or you will be sorry. After riding in a tl all cars will seem cheap.

I've kinda had a thing for the Maxima ever since they came out but never voted with $$. MazdaSpeed3 is interesting but might be too big a downgrade. Mazda6, again might be interesting. I'm afraid of GM, don't trust them long term and too much history.
I might just stick with the horse that brung me for another year or two. Cheap way to decide what you really want to get next.

as a previous '99 maxima owner. build quality is 1000% better than the TL. it's funny how a TL with 8k rattles, while a maxima with 100k was dead silent.
my vote is for the new maxima.
OR
'06 M5 you can dish a decent price on them if you look. lowest was 50k last time I looked. probably my next car after my lease is up in 2009

From your four available candidates, I would pick none and keep the TL. I'm not fond of any of the cars that you are considering, especially the Pontiac.
If you want a Mazda, my cousin is selling his 94 twin turbo RX-7. If you want a Nissan, then I would spoil myself and get the G37.

Lexus has the best customer service. If thats a criteria, go with them. My fiance was a service rep there a couple years back and they won all the major regional and national awards for service and customer care.

I see you're in Danbury CT. Some snow, not much, but ya never know. I would pick the G8 out of your list, but considering it's rear wheel drive, you may not be too happy driving it in slick conditions.
