Lease return experience-questions
Hi,
My lease is up in April 2011 (08 TL). I don't have mods, damage, etc. on the body. But, have some chipped rims and tire damage along with it (no bubbles). Will that cover in 1500? I guess it is two rims like that.
Also, Do I need to go to a dealer for inspection? I leased it from Paragon Acura (horrible) and don't want to go back to them. I read somewhere they can come at home/work. Do they come on saturday
Can I return the car to any other dealer? Any suggestions for NYC area?
Thanks,
V

better read your lease for those questions-
while they may have inspectors come to your house,, its likely to cost you $$
I would expect the car needs to be on the lift for underbody inspection- brake ck- steering components- motor mounts....the list goes on
Forget your past experience- those people are long gone and you need a simple lease return,,call dealer and ask for the leasing manager--not a salesman
Do it early so any probs not covered, you can decide to fix or not
normal wear and tear on carpets is covered
small paint and glass damage yadyada
any real damage would be in the $1500,,tires worn out?? or curbshot rims etc should be covered
what your contract says it the important part!!

I had a lease return for a VW a few years ago and they sent someone to my house and just did a walk around, start up and peeked under the hood. Be nice to them because they can overlook some issues. I had a scratch on the door with a little wrinkle/dent in it and he said anything above 4" could be charged. He didn't charge me for it though.

When I returned my Honda they had an independent person come out and look at the car. He just looked around, noted any damage, listened to how the engine sounded, took some pictures and that was it. They emailed me a report later and all I had to do was drop it off at the dealer (Paragon Honda lol.
