I really dont think I deserved the tomato. Im just trying to keep a positive spin on this. Hes not the only one, I know that. Have you not read some of my replies to Elmer? Believe me I know hes not rational.

Crap....now I have to figure out if it is more expensive to have them shipped back from your place or get a new set from Wal Mart.

 

My TL is a 2004 model, but it has very low mileage still. After reading all these posts I can honestly say that although i have not had the issues many here have had I am growing concerned.

If there are issues that I may have to deal with in the future, I would like to be able to come here and learn from others experiences.

I hope we can have members post issues and replies in a constructive manner, so we get more out of it then the sheer entertainment of two guys goin at it online.

Although I must admit the thought of having a "UFC" between Big MIKE and Elmer is appealing and would most likely be very entertaining.

Maybe I am blinded by LOVE as the article posted refers to.
But i am very finicky and I am sure that if my car does start to rattle then
I want to know what to do.

 

I've already set them up and now I'm the envy of my neighborhood, I can't give them up.

It's like my own little slice of heaven.

 

I have an '04 with about 15,000 miles on it. I have had a few rattles, but the dealership has taken care fo those when I go in for regular service.

I get the but print issue on my front seats. They tightened the leather and that seemed to work for a while, but it is back. Next step according to my Service Advisor is to replace them.

Also my dash is fading. I use vinylex on the dash and that helps, so it is not a pressing issue for now. If it gets worse then I will take it to the dealer.

I do not consider any of these issues very major and they can all be fixed. I have had my car for almost 2 years now and so it is showing its age just a little, but like I said it does not bother me that much.

I understand the frustration from some of the members on the board, especially if the dealership is not working with them to fix those issues, but I do not agree with the attitude some of the people take with this.

I completly agree with you, this is a forum to discuss "current or potential" issues and how to resolve them. Everyone here should be trying to help each other, wether it be with resources or providing a solution themselves.

On a side note, even though I have had the issues mentioned above, this is still the best car I have ever owned and I do not regret buying this car.

I would also agree...but I think we all know why he didnt get good treatment (j/k)....good idea on the thread start on ACS though....there are a lot of issues that could be discussed and I am sure we could all learn a lot!

And I really am not angry, just messing with Elmer. I thought he looked like such a nut when I got done with him last time I just couldnt resist and I know he would respond in turn! I couldnt even believe he was dumb enough to mention me again.....

Part of the reason I went to my GXP (Pontiac). Yeah, I know...GM sux... blah blah blah.

All I can tell ya is I have been MUCH happier in the GXP from a quality standpoint. No issues unlike the TL.

I'm glad most are not having issues, but for those of us who are/were it's almost like getting out of a releationship... Start having problems that can't seem to be solved, find a way to get out.

 

Wow, did not know.... I will take a look and see how mine is holding up... I have not seen anything out of the ordinary, but my car is not in the sun much.
