LANGKA - Paint Chip Repair
Check out this thread..

A rock hit my hood on my 04 TL and put a little line of nicks about an inch long. I would say there are 4 little nicks. I have seen this product on numerous websites and wondered if anyone here has used it?

I've tried it on many occasions on several vehicles. I'm not impressed. The idea is good. However, in reality, I haven't been able to avoid wiping the paint out of the chip, especially on thin "cut" type chips. This is after lots of experimentation with drying time, techniques, using different types of removal cloth, etc. It looks promising when starting to wipe over the paint blob. Little more...little more...almost level with the surface....OOPS, paint dissolved and gone. I think that's the basic problem. The product starts dissolving the paint more with time and by the time the paint layer is down the right thickness, it's too thin and dissolves completely in the Langka solvent.
Maybe the solution is to work it down most of the way, let it completly dry again, and then come back to it. (But that isn't suggested in the instructions).

Langka process
You can buy "Paint Leveler" at the part store - it is the same thing (I think). It is in the little bottles by the touch-up paint.
The process is exactly as you described -REALLY HARD to do right. Maybe with LOTS of practice you could do it. A great theory, but . . . . .

I agree with Hybrid. I got uniformly bad results when I purchased the LANGKA system for my '01 CL. I tried a few different techniques, INCLUDING rubbing it down partway, letting it dry, and then rubbing more. The product seems to destabilize the paint. On the other hand, it's inexpensive enough that you should try it yourself if you really feel strongly about the chips. I've learned to live with the best touch-up results I can get. Which, by the way, aren't so bad with the right technique, namely, clean the area well first, have good light available, use a toothpick, apply very tiny amounts at a time, and be very patient. Good luck.
