ok so these are some races me and my girlfriend encountered over the past two weeks..lol ive been letting my girlfriend drive my car (07HONDATL) and shes pretty good for a girl..

so were on the highway and theres a blue civic SI we pass him trying to get him to run just to mess around he doesnt bite. then out of no where he flys past us doin 100 expecting us to catch up..lol then he slows down and my girlfriend gets on his bumper and he mashes the pedal so does she and were on his bumper the whole time he didnt pull nothing. finally i think he gave up cuz he wasnt pulling and just moved outta the lane and we just walked him after that. civic was bone stock i just have intake and just put an exhaust on.





2nd race was a 2004 Maxima with I/E she wasnt even trying to race him but as soon as we pulled along side the maxima and he saw it was a TL the kid punched it so i told my girlfriend to punch it so she did and rite off the bat we were side by side till i started to pull then after that i beat him by at least 2 car lengths just walked on him after 60..




3rd race is kind of a shocker it was a brand new 2009 lancer EVO was grey smoked out im not sure weather had exhaust and intake.. but i told my girlfriend to see if she could take him he flys past us then my girlfriend steps on it. he sees us coming and punched it while were at least 1 car length behind dont ask how but hes floored so are we and we started gaining on him and just passed him and walked on him from there.. i was pretty impressed..lol kid prolly couldnt drive but win is a win.lol

 

i know i dont mean to toot my own horn but i am pretty damn good..lol that maxima was so ugly to was like that coper looking color looks like a giant penny on wheels..lol the lancer was nice but the civic si was pointless race but none the less fun. im just a better driver then u punk..lol

You both should have walked it if it was stock.

An '09 is a shock, but then again, Evos & STis in general aren't necessarily the fastest cars from flat out. Enough torque will leave them behind.

I was thinking the same. They do have a step down from the EVO that has a turbo. I think it's the rival of the WRX's as the EVO's are to the STI's.

well the 04 maxima i believe was only 265hp and the 05 TL is 270 both had mods and both are pretty heavy cars the 04 maxima is really big or so looks to me i always say it looks like a boat on wheels.lol but Sal has raced two 09 Maximas and walked on them both.. they get the jump on him but after 60 we always walk on the maximas.. ive seen on a thread here 2 ppl say that after 60 the maxima is slower rather then faster but that can also be a misconception but either way im not fan of a maxima ne way..lol

 

it was an evo i know which lancer ur talking about but this was the full blown evo one it had those vent things on the side and the big wing and the kit and all this other stuff on it or it was some 1 trying to hard to look like a evo but it moved it wasnt slow..

I am with you and that...never had no problems with 5AT TL's at no speed in the G or Max. Whomever raced that 09 Max and walked it is he modded, those things here have hit very low 14's and trapped in the 1/4 99mph to right at 100 stock.

the tl was modded and so was the 05 maxima we raced and as well as 1 of the 09 maximas was it had stillen exhaust and intake.. and the TL is auto and so were the maximas we raced auto for auto ..

Thats what I keep saying about Maximas my brother in law insists his 06 Maxima can at least keep up with my fairly stock Type-S. I say I'll kill him! The other night he was tailing me on the highway, we both gunned it, I left him about 1/4 mile back before letting off (also this is when I think my governor kicked in at 130mph for the 1st time in this car) ...yet he says he kept up?! I dont get it, we're gonna have to do a side by side at a red light & go for about 1/2 a mile or more.

I dont know, I've been researching it last week. When I get going that fast I dont really watch the speedometer, I watch the road but I felt like something clicked off just (like a governor) and when I glanced down I was at about 130mph...I have a Type-S 5speed auto, been hearing that makes a difference vs the MT. ...regardless, I want it OFF! any ideas anyone?

 

first i wouldnt even bother to race a si i rather fu*k with them like cut them off and break check them ahhaah thats what i do to other cars lol
second maxima is kinda heavy so u got should beat it without any problem
third - how the hell did u win against a evo? Man that kid doesnt know how to drive then must been a noob driver i driven the evo x couple of times and their pretty damn quick but a win is a win

YES! thank you. I got ahead of a dude with this attitude on the interstate before & after a couple friendly runs he pulls up to me & throws a handful of pennies at my car! due to traffic he ends up in front slamming on the brakes cuz he's pissed he lost. a couple quick friendly runs are fun. endangering someone's life & driving erratically is plain stupid & immature.

the new evo x's arent all that quick. im pretty sure they're running mid 13 in 1/4's and ive seen tl's run low 14s

 

That won't always be the case, the VQ35 responds quite well to mods since the stock IM and tuning is setup for lowend/midrange and it just takes a few key mods to end up with a nasty topend. Of course the 6th gen (04-08) and 7th gen (09+) maximas are stupidly heavy and rarely modded for power rather than bling. It's mostly only the 5th gens and swapped 4th gens you gotta watch out for but there's a few 04+ lurking about that would put a hurting on a TL-S.

Actually never mind, I just read the kill from the Evo again and it's likely you guys had a little speed advantage the way that race happened. It would need to be quite a bit faster than you to match your speed and start pulling.

 

I call BS on the EVO... Maybe the rally art/sport but sorry to say you would not have pulled the EVO... Im sure I can prove my point as I know MANY evo drivers that can provide a friendly race in Mexico for you to prove my point... By the way Im still lookin for that friendly 2004+ Turbo/Supercharged TL race if anyone can send them my way!!! lolz

 

actually its not Bullshit ppl will believe what they want when they read magazine times but u cant predict what would happen on the street and i have better shit to do then pull of all cars a EVO outta my A$$ to race.. and i know cars very well to know the diffrence between a rally ART and a EVO.. but its ur choice to believe it or not i mean theres kids on this forum talking about beating 335's and bmw m3's and all sorts of cars that are suppost to be super fast.. u cant say everyone on this forum is full of BS. and im happy for mexico tell them to race it up over there. im not in mexico in im Ny thats all im worried about so prove ur point all u want u werent there for all u know the kid in the evo couldnt shift or maybe he misShifted and messed up u dont know there are many possbilities to be taken into consideration.my friend had a evo 9 that was super fast so i know evo's are fast i take nothing from them.. believe me.
