Just took the latest Acura survey
Here's the questions it asked me (I'm pretty sure the follow on questions change according to how you answer the previous question):
1. Do you own/rent an Acura?
Yes
2. Are you the decision maker or have influence on service and maintenance?
Yes
3. Would you use an Acura dealer for minor maintenance or service (oil change, light bulb replaced).
No
4. Lists about 10 reasons why not to use Acura for service. Asks you to rate them: 7 levels from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Can't remember them all, but here's what I do remember:
loaner car / shuttle not available
cleanliness of the waiting room
value
trust
service manager unprofessional or dishonest
Acura might try to sell you unnecessary service/parts
Dealer doesn't care
Someone else can do the work
Dealer not close to home
This is an Acura, it doesn't need much service / repair
I can do the work myself
Dealer won't be quick
Dealer not close to any place that I need to stop by (shop, work)
Having all service needs performed at one location is not important to me
I don't care that Acura would maintain a record of all service/Mx
5. Asks you to rank 5 statements as to why you would not use Acura for minor service (1 to 5, with 1 being the best reason why you wouldn't)
