Arrow Just picked up my '08 TL-S

What do I do now ? I've been messing around with the memory settings, but should I go somewhere for oil change, other filters, etc. ?

I'm pretty sure it was a leased car, registered in September of 2008, so I've got another year or so on the warranty.

Some concerns:

-Hear static/scratchiness randomly when listening to the Radio. Don't know if it is a radio intereference issue or a speaker issue...

-Seems like something is jostling around in the trunk over bumps, but nothing is there. Just a slight noise or something - might be normal.

- I heard wind noise pretty well through my driver side window when I got on the highway.

Thanks guys for any help/insight with the car in general and these issues

Congrats Welcome to AZ! Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/myAcura...ToLoginPage.do in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there.

Thats because Type S is the way to go. Its the new cool thing. lol

Nice car/color. I love mine so far and even the little wind noise I have this is by far the quietest Honda I have EVER driven.

http://www.sonsacura.com if you call ask for Len. He has helped me out in the past and they are not cheapest on parts but service is hands down top notch.

Also look on AZ for Ack he is a vendor and have heard nothing but good things about him as well.

My nearest Acura dealer is a 4 hour drive for me and that sucks. I had to order air filters.

Many people on here are very helpful I have found and very proud of TL's in general and especially 3g's.

Search is your friend. Welcome aboard.

Did you buy it from a dealership? If so, make a list of problems and ask them to look into them, under warranty.

If you've still got warranty on it, your local dealership should be able to correct all of the issues you're encountering.

I bought it from a dealership, but they offered a 50/50 warranty. I didn't really care since it still has Acura's Stock Warranty for another 1.25 years. Couldn't I still go to a nearby Acura dealer and have them take a look at some of these issues ?

Nice car except the bumper...or I guess repainted bumper now.

As for the issues I do believe there are TSB's on a couple of the things you mentioned but thought they were originally for 07's. There is a radio noise/reception issue TSB, and also a rear clunk TSB if you look in the TSB section. The dealership should have no issues fixing that. As for the wind noise im not sure whatsup with that. The windows should seal up real nice on this car. My 08 has no wind noise and is overall very quiet. Did you make sure the window was up all the way? lol had to ask.

As for everything else. I always like to change the fluids when I get a new used car. That way you know the correct stuff is in there. I would do the oil (I use Mobile 1 5w20 and OEM filter), go ahead and replace the engine air filter and cabin air filters unless they look new. Make sure the tire pressures are all to spec (35 front, 32 rear). Thats the basic important stuff. Your car is probably autom atic so im sure some guys on here will tell you to do the tranny fluid. If its 6mt I would highly recommend the GM synchromesh fluid. Works amazing!!

Hope this helps.

James

OK yes but it's completely fine now, I don't know if they replaced it or what but I can't notice ANYTHING anymore. So it's a non-issue.
