Hello forum,
I used to own a maroon 2nd Gen Acura TL
then I sold it to get a Spa Honda s2000 hehe
now I've decided that small cars isn't for me and looking for another TL
I've seen one on craiglist that has 130k mileage and he is willing to trade for my vehical.

My question is how reliable is this car? and what problems that i might run to?
because the s2000 has a ton of issues

these cars are very reliable if they are maintained properly. at 130k, who knows how that car has been taken care of through the course of its life. it's all about preventative maintenance, change schedules and replacement parts that are done BEFORE any issues arise.

get a carfax, check service records, get an independent shop to do an inspection on the car, check for matching body panels (vin numbers match), etc...the list goes on forever.

i've owned my TL-S for over 2 years and haven't had any major issues. love this car.

They are fairly reliable. However, being a Honda, you can damn near guarantee the automatic transmission isn't very good. The manuals are much better, but still have the typical 3rd gear and overall syncro reliability concerns. Most of the major components are fine.

That said, they are plagued by problems that generally still allow the vehicle to drive. For some reason, most people want to hide these problems and don't like to talk about them.
