It is pretty good. It depends on where you live. In SoCal there are so many dealerships that they cut each others throat on price to get your business. In Torrance (South Bay Acura), I was quoted a little below $31500 (dest. inc) before title and tax on a 2006 TL with Navi (auto or 6speed) with mud guards back in December 05.

That's a great price. I didn't get close to that but ordering a car that was no where in the tri-state area I assumed to have to pay a little more. Mine came directly from the factory which took 5 weeks to get in... worth the wait!

Let's see... 31 OTD is really about $27,400. Why do you think a dealership would sell a new TL Navi and lose about $3,500.00?

bought a 2006 Tl from first acura in Mass.... problems

I had it one day withonly 100miles on it. Bought it home to show my family and it started smoking and coolant was shooting out of front of NEW 2006 TL. Called dealer told me will not replace new car and would charge me to fix it over $1000.00(even before they saw the car) and charge me for the tow. DO not buy from this dealer bad news. Low price but will not stand behind there cars. I feel CHEATED? i am a women what do i do?

That is BS. You need to escalate to Acura Corp. And contact the BBB. Which dealer?

Noted, he said before taxes for $32,500. Not OTD. This is certainly not a good deal to me. Seen better deal than this.

You CANNOT be serious about your comment! $32.5k (including tax) as OTD price is not realistic, unless you live in Delaware where I believe there is no sales tax.

$31,000 OTD is impossible (at least not in the Northern VA area). But you can get it to at least $32,000 instead of $32,205 at radley acura.

Bought two TLs there, one 05 and one 06. They offered $32,000 before taxes and such on the 06 (two months ago?). They should be willing to go down to at least that.

Ask for Richard Slater or a middle eastern person (forgot name).

Arrow OTD Price was REAL!

I put NO money down (no cap cost reduction) only TT&L and the $615 acquisition fee. I checked around Dallas and they were all very willing to deal on the TL. Got roughly same quotes from three dealers in and around Dallas, TX. Mine was from Plano, TX.

Are the prices you guys putting up here include all dealer fees such as processing fees. I got mine beg. of June for $32,200(6 speed with nav) plus a $299 dealer fee and this included splash guards, wheel locks and all season mats bringing my price before TTL to $32,500. Included destination as well. I did mine on-line and before I was willing to drive 7 hours round trip for this deal I got the purchased agreement faxed to me and this is where I saw the $299 fee which pissed me off b/c all my emails I sent to them I was specific in including all fees except TTL. I was able to get the wheel locks, splash guards and all season mats added because of this. My local dealer would not even counter the offer leaving me with no choice but to track another one down.

Just talked to my dealer and I hope to get the '06 TL Navi this weekend when Acura will have a special 2.9% finance rate for 36 months. The only problem is he quoted me a 'sale' price of $34,500 + tax and fees. Of course, I wasn't about to pay that much and I'm glad to see what other kind of deals are available out there. I will be happy if I can get it down to $33,000 + tax and fees.

Don't know if San Diego dealers can approach those other prices quoted here. If so... I'll do it!

I contacted the local dealer today (via e-mail) and said I knew of others in the area who'd purchased a 2006 5AT/Navi for $32,300 (including dest charges) and would they be competitive with that. Told them I was looking at the next two to three weeks and was willing to be flexible on color, would wait if they didn't have something close on the lot now but had something on scheduled to arrive soon.

They replied about two hours later saying they would "do my numbers", as long as it was on the lot or coming in. My next step is to get them to commit all the prices to paper, just to see what else they might try to tack on. I know they're charging about two times cost for all the dealer prep items (splash guards, wheel locks, trunk tray), but might be willing to split the difference, since $32,300 is about $400 less than I figured I'd get.

I got mine pretty close to $31000 + Tax and Lic. I paid $31600 which included wheels locks and splash guards. However I am in Los Angeles, may be we get better pricing here.

Why do people post up how much their car cost before TT&L.... b/c honestly the price that matters is how much you got OTD. Oh well.. $32.5K b4 TT&L is one hell of a price.. especially since thats really close to how much invoice is for the dealer.

Good job.

I got my 06 5spd, w/ Navi 34,600 OTD.

Good job.

I got my 06 5spd, w/ Navi 34,600 OTD.

The main reason is because taxes differ by state. So if I'm in VA with a 3% sales tax on cars and you are in CA with 8% and I post a price of $35k OTD and you post $35K OTD as well you did much better on your deal because your taxes are higher in CA. In order to make an apples to apples numbers comparison you have to exclude TTL and all DEALER FEES. Some may or may not show dealer fees when they post on these forums b/c they work the deal on-line and then go to the dealer and the dealer will add $100-$500 in dealer fees to the price of the car. Therefore, dealer fees should be discussed up front and included in the price before TTL because every dealer has fees it's just a matter of how much.

Wow, a highly thought out response! Thank You!

EXACTLY RIGHT! The opportunity for dealers to add on options, etc. is not what is at issue. THe point is, what can we expect to pay for the vehicle in raw form. I don't care if someone paid "X" but he got free window tint and a pack of gum thrown in. What I care about, and what I go armed to the dealer with, is the bottom line price for the car. I can't negotiate tax, delivery fee, and often holdback. But I CAN negotiate the price of the vehicle. My negotiated price with no special lug nuts or wiper fluid was UNDER $31,000 in Dallas, TX. I don't know if the blue is unpopular in Texas or if the Acura itself can't stand up to the competition of BMW and Lexus here. But I do know that there was little haggling because I researched the web, paid around $20 bucks to some site to get the dealer invoice (Consumer Reports I think) and I went in armed with INFORMATION. I encourage each of you to do the same. Don't take my word for it, do the research and KNOW before you GO.

You know you can go to Edmunds.com to get the dealer invoice on most cars for FREE! That was what I used.

My dealer handed me some print out showing what invoice was and what others in the area were paying for the car. They said back in early 04 that they would go by what numbers were on the sheet...at the time it was about a grand below MSRP and I got it a little lower. I was really impressed they came out like that right off the bat.

Dealer told me about the special rate few days ago. It starts June 23. It's on Acura's Web site now.
I went to a dealer here in SD and tried to get my new TL w/Navi AT. I told him I wanted to pay $32,500 + TT&L because that was a going rate across the country. He gave me the song and dance about how invoice was $32,800 and there's no way he could sell it below invoice. He showed me the fleet rate of $33,900 and said that was what he could do. I told him I got the prices people were paying from an Acura related Web site. He went so far as to call those people who quoted their price here liars. Your're not all liars. Are you?

Anyways... now my task is find another dealer.
