Just got my new TL

Well, just closed the deal on a TL w/Nav NBP/Ebony. Unfortunately it's auto, but manuals are damn near impossible to find around here.

I had the finance manager throw the 5yr/100K Acura Care ext warranty on there and he charged me $1760. I found out that it should have only been $1340 with $0 deductible, so I called back and had him change it. He said, Oh sorry, I was looking at the line for 7yr/100K with $100 deductible. Hmmm...... Other than that, a great experience with the dealership.

I pick her up Friday!!!

Congratulations!! There are several 6MT TLs with Navi at Open Road Acura (East Brunswick), which is only off Exit 9 on the NJ turnpike....not far from NYC.

That said, I just received an instaquote (from them) for an 06 TL 6MT w/Navi & HPT for $32,388......and I'm actually now seriously entertaining the idea of trading up the Maxima.

Thanks. Just getting some tint for now. I had a CAI on my 02 Type-S, which was nice. It'll be a while before I do anything though.

I'm actually up just north of Albany, although I did get quotes from the tri-city area. Some of the volume dealers in northern Jersey shot me deals like that (Ramsey and Montclair). In the end, paying a little extra to build a good relationship with a local dealer made sense. Plus, there's no way those guys would give as good a deal on my trade.

The new Maximas are nice, but I say take the plunge! The TL is beautiful.

actually the 7 yr/120k 0 deductible acura warranty is around $1315 from hondacuraworld.com, so he should match that price. i live in NY also, and had a out of town dealer match the price so i wouldnt have to pay tax. the 8 yr/120k is a little more if you dont drive that much.

I'm about a 20k a year driver, so the 5yr/100k worked best for me. Particularly since I don't plan on having it past 5 years anyway. I like having the new car every few years. It would be nice if I didn't have such a commute or else I'd be a good leasing candidate (if there's such a thing).

I'll have to check into those prices and get things squared away before Friday. Thanks for the info.
