Cool Just got my check from Acura!!

I wasn't sure where to post this, so here it is. I (like many of you) have had battery troubles. They replaced it once. Well I finally got a BIG battery. I bought the Braille B7548 with 945 Cold Cranking Amps 30 sec @ 0F. I was happy.
Now I took my old battery back to the dealership. At first he said there was nothing he could do. So I asked him again. Finally he said "got a receipt" I gave it to him. A couple weeks later. Here is $113.00 in a check from them. I like it. Now my new battery cost me only $109.00. And it's almost twice the battery of the OEM!! Just wanted to tell you all. I know this was posted here before. But I did a search=but no cigar!

I wish I knew abut this earlier, I would've done the same thing. Dam... I'll hope for it to fail again... which shouldn't take too much.. LoL.

I got (suckered into ) an extended warranty on my new TL purchase a few months ago and instantly regretted it and knew I paid too much. So I cancelled the warranty and got a full refund, check just came in the mail for over $1G... very happy camper here.

I hope my battery is fine though.

I didn't know that my 2nd battery was bad!! I was just upgrading to the Braille. So I took the OEM battery back to them in hopes it would fail. He tested it.
You got it, it failed! But I didn't know that at the time I brought it in. I was just wondering if it would fail based on the track record for the OEM battery. So maybe you still have a chance at this. That is why I made this thread! I didn't want any of you to "miss out"!

wow 945 CCA @ 0...that thing is a monster and small in comparison to the stock battery.

Sounds like you made out like a bandit.

Cool

This is one of the rare "win & win" deals!
I just wanted you all to see that Acura is covering that weeky-squeaky OEM battery. Just so youall can maybe save some hogans also....

Is this mostly a cold weather type problem with the battery?

Sorry it took so long to answer you. My bad...
It was Buerkle Acura in Brooklyn Park. I can say for the 1st time. That I like a dealership! I think that they treat the people and the customer right. Again sorry it took me sooooo long.

There have been numerous reports of batteries failing at around 35K miles.

Mine was replaced for free: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/free-battery-inspection-results-free-replacement-632906/
