Just got back from track..and im pissed.

So I just got back from Sac Raceway Park, kind of disappointed.

The only mods I changed since the last time I ran was lowering the car.

I thought I would run better times since I would squat less off the line.

My First run was slightly better 60 foot then last time, but I was slower up top.

I ran my numbers through a density calculator, and came up with a time that was actually .05 faster than the last time I went, so I guess that was why, but it sure hurt to a slower time.

Best on may 5th:

Reaction: .56
60 ft: 2.304
330' 6.303
1/8th 9.571
MPH 75.902
1000' 12.4
1/4 mi 14.781
MPH 97.554

Best Today:

Reaction: .229
60 ft: 2.28
330' NO DATA
1/8th 9.709
MPH 76.684
1000' 12.561
1/4 mi 14.96
MPH 96.313

I only got in 3 runs, I forgot I had to wear long pants so I ran to costco and bought a pair of cheap jeans real quick so i missed out on about 3-4 runs, then after i got knocked out of bracket racing I left since my GF wanted to leave.

I am really suprised at your time. Your best today you had a 2.28 60ft and an 1/8th mile time and MPH of 9.709 and 76.684. Your 60ft and 1/8mile MPH were much better than your previous best run but your 1/8th mile time was slower? That makes no sense. You lost about 2MPH between your 1/8th mph and 1/4 mph this time vs last time. Something doesn't make sense. I can see why your dissapointed haha. You might have to go back again when you bring your pants!

Same track, it was about 15 degrees warmer this time

03 TL-S, Last time at track, CAI and Cat back exhaust, this time only difference was that I am lowered in addition to those mods.

Also, I think my 60 ft was better because I loaded up a torque converter a bit to see if it would help with my times, Maybe my top end suffered from a worse DA, also only getting in 3 runs coudl have played a part, it was only my 2nd time ever to the track and maybe my shifting from 1-2 and from 2-D3 werent at the right times, as compared to last time I went.

I am in nor cal, so the next time the weather is nice I am going to try to get out again

What do I check for? I know its a INtake Manifold Control Runner, but what does it do and what am I looking for?

I thought it was maybe the weather?

When VTEC kicks in,it's obvious, plus ive felt relatively fast on the street.

Girls and cars RARELY mix, lol. At least she won't bug you next time and you'll be able to focus.

Sorry you didn't have fun.

Ok, if i touch the spring on my IMRC it feels loose, but the butterfly opens and closes smoothly, cable feels tight not but not super tight, i can wiggle it MAYBE 1/16 of an inch

opening the throttle triggers the IMRC, and it closes after RPMs drop

I took off the IM cover( i think thats what it is) and the right side looks very caked with carbon. I cleaned it out as best as I could without using any form of cleaner, I don't knwo if it safe to use any cleaner fluid?

The cover part I took off was also dirty on the same side, cleaned out best I could.

This is OT, so you should repost this in Problems & Fixes.

But, to answer your question: Sea Foam.

IMRC was working fine, took off the IM and cleaned out the EGR port alone with the mani itself, broke traction shifting into second while I was in D5 and the engine was already warmed up

Can't wait to go back to track.
