Sweet! I'm thinking to do the same to mine. There's just too much on that trunk lid. A friend did it to his A4 and it looks clean and better imo. I will attempt to post pics when I do it.

Sneaky guys....I LOVE IT. Change the wheels and nobody on the road knows you've got a TL-S until... It's too late and they are wondering...Just how fast ARE those TL's...Nicely done!

Although to us fellow owners, the front bumper, the lights on the mirrors and the rear tail lights tell us it's a TL-S, NOBODY else would recognize the difference unless the regular and the TLS were right next to each other and even then it might be a "where's Waldo" exercise for most of the public.

I was thinking about taking out the ACURA on the top left and leaving the TL-S. Was there any glue stuck to the paint after you took the letters off? How did you remove that?

Anyone have pictures of their cars without the "Acura" only?

just slide dental floss under the letters and work in a sawing motion. you will have to do this a coulpe times since the stuff frays. after the letters are off the glue comes off realy easy with your fingers/rolling it with your nails. if not use goo gone.

i started with taking the acura off...didnt like it, didnt look symetrical
then i took off the tl...looked ok still assymetrical with only the S
then i took off the S...Holy shit i fell in love

Isn't it expensive to use Dental Floss to remove the badging? I would think using Sewing Thread would be better. It's cheaper and stronger than Floss.

Not de-badged, quite yet....Now the only thing you need to get rid of is the license tag.. LOL!

Actually, this is not accurate. The guys on the Benz sites debadge so that they don't reveal "Sleeper" cars. THAT is what debadging is all about. The idiot who tried to run the 2001 CLK in his M-series beemer (or non-turbo'd Mustang) and got his butt handed to him HARD is getting ribbned by his riders..."Man, your just got beat by a CLK 320! HaHa LOL!!!

Rule of thumb is... If it doesn't have a badge, DON'T mess with it! ESPECIALLY if it HAS a body kit! Lot's of CLK320's do NOT have the AMG bodykit (as it was fairly expensive around $2K)

Idiots have DO have the lower end cars and de-badge are just "posers"!!!

the de-badging turned out nice.. I really hate the way Acura italicized the "TL" logo for the '07s anyway.

i think that is your issue right there... if you want a very nice outcome, you need to invest in a PC (porter cable)... find your way into the Wash & Wax forums... tons of info there and one of the vendors exceldetail (patrick) has great products and advice... good luck...
