JUST bought TL! But some question about the side mirrors

i finally bought a 2004 TL after one month searching, with extremely low miles:57000! It's while my favirote too!
I'm really enjoying the car and glad that i decided to buy it.

but i have a question about the side mirrors and drivers seat
it changes the position automatically everytime i start the car, and ignores my new setting! i left the manual book at my friend's car and can't reach him for while...

everyone knows how to reset the driver seat position and side mirrors too? i heard something like memory??

Don't quote me, but try holding down the Unlock / Lock button on your key fob for a few seconds. That stops the seat from automatically adjusting. You can also just keep the seating position sotred in the memory setting. Click memory button and either #1 or 2.

Just get all of your settings(seat, mirrors, etc) the way you want them and then hold down either the 1 or 2 memory button on the door panel and the car will remember your settings for you. Also, each keyfob has a number on it so if you program all of your settings to number 1 and use the number 2 keyfob you're gonna get nowhere

you're using the wrong key. if using key 1, it will go to seat position 1 everytime you unlock the door. if using key 2 it will go to seat position 2 everytime you unlock the door.

*edit* damn the guy above me beat me to it.

1) Check the remote you are using-- is it Driver 1 or Driver 2?
Set the seat/mirror positions to your preference, then save them into the DPMS using the corresponding memory buttons on the driver's door-- if you're using the remote for Driver 2, save the seat/mirror positions to Driver 2.
2) Link that remote to the car per post #3 above.

Using that remote will then move your seat and mirrors to the position you set (if the seat/mirrors were moved previously) as well as save your preferred audio presets and climate control settings.

If you use the wrong remote or an unlinked remote to open the door, none of those settings will be utilized. Each remote stores those preferences separately, which is convenient for two regular drivers.

Register the car on the Acura owner site to get recall info and on-line access to the owner's and Navi manuals.

Welcome to AZ.

You have an 04 TL?

If your TL keeps forgetting your memory settings, it's a defect in the memory module.

My 04 TL forgets my memory settings.

Your problem is that your TL changes positions everytime you enter so the remedy is probably one from the posts above

I always feel like the WDP bumpers never match the car.

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the Money Pit.

It's a felt that they use to protect the tint from scratches when you roll the windows up and down.

^ it's a time consuming process of trapping moles, and then skinning them for their soft hide.

ALso, with the window tint, make sure the shop is able to tuck the tint behind the rubber strip on the rear door quarter windows. Your probably not familiar with what im talking about, but a lot of shops do not cut the tint to fit the entire window, then when its done you see what looks like a 1" thick un-tinted strip from the outside. If they say they cannot do it go to another shop because it can be done....and easily to a good tinter. Its not a huge deal, but if your picky about stuff like myself then you will want it done right.

On the topic of senile seat memory, does anyone know if you can use the memory module from an 07/08?
