Thumbs up It's Finally Here!!!

Yesterday, I rented a car and headed up to DCH Montclair Acura in NJ to pick up my 5AT 2004 TL w/Navi in NBP with Camel (VIN # 28XXX). I had ordered the TL the Saturday after Christmas. Everything went smooth - more importantly, there were no suprises.

After about 3 hours, I finally took possession and delicately made the 200 mile trip back to Owings Mills, MD. I varied my speeds and made two stops for dinner, to stretch, and give her a rest! There were no rattles or vibrations during the entire trip. She's everything I expected.

For the first hour, I didn't listen to the radio, etc. Then, I listened to the DVD-A disc for a while. But, for the majority of the trip, I listened to the XM radio. Although I had no intention of subscribing after the first 3 months, I think I may change my mind. Great music variety - no commercials.

The Navi worked great and took me to my destination with no problem - unlike Mapamiss - I mean Mapquest!! I have no regrets on waiting for the Navi.

After 8 years 7 months and 145,000 miles, I'm giving up my 1995 Integra. Hopefully, the TL will be as problem-free as my Integra was. Enough talk, time to order Zanio!

Congrats. Any advice on how you dealt with the waiting? I ordered mine on Friday and I'm already getting anxious (I likely won't get mine until April).

Congrats! What a Coincidence. I picked up my 5A w/NAVI NBP camel from Montclair Acura on 2/17. I've been dealing with these guys for years and they are great. Why did you come all the way up here to buy your TL?

Thumbs up What time were you there mcm244?

I was actually there in the afternoon ordering my TL. Were you by any chance with your wife/ husband? I was going back and forth to my car and saw a couple in a NBP TL learning to use it and getting ready to shove off. If that was you, you might have noticed a big guy in a red sweater and jeans going from the dealer to the parking. I own an aegean blue TL-S that was in the parking lot.

Congratulations! I enjoyed my test drive thoroughly and the folks at Montclair Acura treated me very well also. It's good to hear that I went to the right dealer to get my car.

I can't wait for my car to arrive. Enjoy yours!!!

Not one dealership in the MD/DC/VA area would deal. They wanted MSRP for the TL and the options. I got the TL with protection package (Splash Guards, Trunk Tray, All season Mats, and Wheel Locks) and the wooden shift knob for $33,800. The only thing I paid in addition was MD 5% tax. No hidden fees.

Another member of the forum recommended I try DCH Montclair and I have no regrets! The best experience I ever had purchasing a vehicle.

I figured the longer the wait, the better the chance that any early problems would be addressed by Acura. For the past year, I have been looking at getting a new car (A4, 330, TSX, TL, G35, etc.). Two more months were no going to kill me. Plus, hopefully, there won't be any major snow storms for the reminder of the season!

No, but, I did see that same couple. I was the guy with glasses, dark trousers and violet shirt. I was there from about 12:30 to 3:30 pm.

But, they really are a great dealership. My only criticism is that they need a larger lot to display and park their vehicles. But, unless they can expand, that's out of their control.

I'm hoping they remain a good dealership. Unfortunately, their salesmanager Joe Solano just left this month to go run DCH's new BMW dealership (BOOOOOO). Good Luck Again. Hope you find a decent place to have it serviced.
