You're welcome. I have 30 LED board for the trunk (he doesn't make 30 LED boards anymore) and they are WAY OVER KILL. I high recommend you to use a 18 or 15 LED board for your trunk instead.

You might be looking at those tiny little LEDs thinking they aren't really that bright, but that 24 LED board he has is also over kill for the trunk.

I originally had 12 LED boards in my interior and swapped them for 9 LED boards because the 12 were too bright. Well now 9 is still too bright so I'm going back to regular 360 style LED bulbs from VLEDs lol....

http://www.vleds.com/bulb/194-168-15.../360/6-5k.html

It sucks getting blind every time you open your door to get in the car, or when you turn the light on to find something at night. It's like unnecessarily bright... Choose wisely!

Reason I love boards instead of 360 style ones is because boards light up every inch of the interior, unlike lighting only the seat like 360 does.

I have 15led board, to prevent that ricey bright disco interior look, I did 5% tinting to the light covers.

Belive me, black tint fitted perfectly with black frame around the lighting housing and looks great during the day (biggest reason I tinted them). I'll take a pic tomorrow

25% was ok too as I remember but, I went with 5%

--

BTW, I have his orange led boards for my doors. I love em, looks great, perfect orange as I wanted.
Matches to sidemarkers if you asking the exact tone of the color. Perfect match
Pictures might look different, since I played with them.

Oh look, interior with 5% tint

I ordered the 6 LED board and the 15 yesterday. I am going to test the 6 in the front domes to see if they are too bright, and got the 15 for the trunk. I was sitting in the car tonight in the dark with some friends waiting for someone and then put the front dome on and everyone was like, whoa thats bright and it was just with the incandescent, so I am worried the 6 led will be too much. Especially since your eyes get used to the dark and then putting a light on seems super bright. If the 6's are too bright I may put them in the doors and use the 360 in the domes. When I get them I will give an update and post pics so you guys can decide whats right for you.

vleds.com really dont have anything in the 194/168 size as far as 360 goes. They dont have near the selection they used to have when I got my 360's from them about 10 months ago.

I just bought 7 Watt Osram from

http://www.autolumination.com/194.htm

for dads FX license plate
They seem expensive compared to boards but it might be perfect for the tone you looking for

They look well made, better than the ones I had from superbrightleds.

I'll post pics after I install them

Whoa, $10.99 a piece, that is a lot!! That could get pricey doing the whole car. That is one thing about autolumination is that their prices seem higher then anywhere else. Also there is no gauge to the brightness of each, like how they compare in output.

I agree $20 is pretty pricey just for 2 tiny interior/license plate bulbs. I notice those bulbs you bought from autolumination do not state if they are 5k or 6k white. Pictures lead me to believe they are more on the bluish white side so it seems like they are 6k. When you install them can you let us know what color temperature they appear to be?

Damn I hate the layout that autolumination uses for their website... Navigating through it to find a certain bulb is a pain in the ass. VLEDs, SuperBrightLEDs & iJDMtoy all are easier to navigate and find specific bulbs and info.

I bought my 120 SMT amber turn signals from autolumination - they are not cheap.
I spent $30 per bulb, plus another 30 for shipping which comes out to $90, just under $100.

On the plus side, they have lasted me this long without problems (oct 2011- nov 2013), until I replaced them with Cree turn signals.

It says cool blue on some of the bulbs, so saying super white on the one I bought, made me think it's 5k may be. Will let you guys know.

Yeah hate the website too

True, this is what I had on his FX before, which is what I was going to buy again but they stopped making 5k white, so that's why I tried autoil.

http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...edge-base/206/

and it's just 4$ difference
Plus it's not board like superbrightleds, it's ceramic that doesn't get warm and burn

Yes, surrounding being ceramic is what keep is cool and not to burn the bulbs, reason I replaced leds all the time is because the board gets burned.

Interior or signals, are ok for board, since they are not on all the time like license plate.

How much did you spend on those CREEs and where did you get them from? How does the brightness compare to your previous tower 120 LED signal?

50W cree turn signals from JLC

Brighter and deeper orange than my tower 120 LEDs.

I will never buy anything from Autolumination again....tired of their BS !!!

got my 60-60 switchbacks from them and 1 of them arrived not working....when I contacted them they wanted me to pay for return shipping....I declined and said I already paid for shipping to my house, I am not paying for it again....if they want, I can just dispute the charge on my credit card....

then they agreed for replacing the messed up bulb....even after that when I got the 2nd set one bulb went out for a week....and they started blaming the car's electricals...

at this point I told them I wanted a refund...and they said they will replace the one bad bulb...so after getting a brand new set for the 3rd time, it worked fine for a week and I ended up selling it myself....

I do not expect that from a $75 shipped set...if it was a $10 set from ebay, I understand....

All the LED's I have in my car are from superbrightleds which I got back in 2007-2008 and ALL of them are working perfectly fine....I wont hesitate to buy from them but never from Autolumination...

I am just not sure anymore

Did the replace
Looks perfect white to me, can't really compare with the old ones during the day, because one looks like greenish.
Will see at night but as far as I see right now, it's pure white

Old superbrightleds

Those "Osram 7W" ones you bought from autolumination look strikingly similar to these on VLEDs. Also I find it hard to believe those bulbs are rated at 7W. They look too small and I have some 2W license plate LEDs and they output 105 lumens each... 7W would be putting out almost 300 lumens..

I still have the 12 LED (not smd or high power LED, regular LED's) for all interior bulbs....back then I spend $30 shipped for all LED's in the car, front amber (60 smd led) and rear red leds (48 smd) hahaha....now for $30 shipped you cant even get front Amber leds hahaha....

All you need to know is that their pricing is better than auotlumination, and so are their customer service IN CASE something happens.

They are labeled discontinued as of now, but I actually placed an order for them twice. One on 11/10/2013 and the other one on Cyber Monday. They were listed as "back order until 12/06/13" and both just got shipped out to me Friday.

I guess I'm one of the few that got that last batch before they discontinued it to be replaced by a new improved model.

I'll post pics to show how they look. I ordered 2 pairs so 4 bulbs total for my interior dome lights. Right now I have 2 9LED boards in the front and nothing in the rear because I sold them lol. They come in monday. $10/pair instead of $10/ea lol and they look exactly alike. I'll take pics when I get them.

I got the 12 LED boards from here

http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw...at=0&_from=R40

I would say 12 LED board is just perfect fitment. 15 would have been too big and 9 would have fit but there would be room left.

A 12 led board takes up the space just perfectly and they are nice and bright.

I have them 3M taped so that they are facing DOWNWARDS at the ground. That's the only way to get it to perfectly fit. Plastic lens cover snaps right back in without a problem.

What about http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Cat...e-LEDs/194-T10 Depending on how my LED boards work out I may get some LED's from this site. It is laid out very well, the prices are great and for each bulb they give you the lumens. Anyone have any experience with them?
