Those 12LED panels should fit fine. You may want to take a styrofoam packing peanut or something similar to attach it to the light fixture and keep it in place. You do not want to leave the panel sitting directly on the diffuser. I was able to slide one side of my panels into an opening in the housing toward the front of the car. They have remained stable there for several weeks now.

You really have to jam them in. The console is a PITA, just because there is not much play in the wire length. Get the angle right and push them in until they click. You'll get it.

thanks for the pictures and descriptions, it made my job that much easier! the hardest part of this was taking the bulbs out of the front dome lights. took me about 15 min to take one of those bulbs out.
Advice: use some force and wiggle it a little and it should pop right out. the doors and rear dome lights took about 5 min total compared to the front domes.

Yeah, the best way I found was the "Tape Trick"---take a length of scotch tape and loop it around the bulb leaving a length you can hold. Press the tape onto the bulb for a good hold, then pull the bulb by pulling on the extra length of tape. Difficult to describe but it makes removing those front dome lights so much easier.

^ Its possible to find them local. You may also want to call a local Radio Shack or similar.
However, the online vendors (esp V-LEDs) ship very quickly---I have received orders from them in as little as 2 days from WA state to PA!!!
Mopos--they do dim like the OEMs, but it is not as smooth. Once the voltage goes below a certain point, the LEDs shut off. Its not too abrupt, but somewhat noticeable if you are looking for it.

I have an 04 TL and installed some interior LEDs from www.superbrightleds.com Wanted to make my TL unique and a bit my own, not usually into aesthetic mods.
All bulbs below fit well, the glove box & center console bulbs are snug. Careful with LEDs, push them in fully with normal force and the plastic lens cap fits over like stock.
Vanity lens removed easiest for me with butter knife, as described previously. Push inward and upwards toward headliner, lens comes downward.
6 LED bulbs for map/rear dome lights are plenty bright in cool white for function and nice look. I would say any brighter would annoy while driving. If you want more subtle, yet functional go 4 LED.
4 LED bulbs for vanity in cool white I thought was bright enough for that function, yet not annoying.
3 LED blue bulbs for glove box and center console are subtle, yet compliments stock blue interior lighting.
6 LED blue bulbs for front doors are plenty bright, light up the ground nice when opening doors. Very distinct.
Overall, very happy. Will order cool white bulbs for trunk, reverse and license plate lighting in near future. Those were more expensive and wanted to test out cheaper interior bulbs first.
Went with (order QTY indicated):
- Vanity Lights: WLEDx4 90 deg cool white (QTY: 2)
- Front Map Lights: WLEDx6 cool white (QTY: 2)
- Rear Dome: WLEDx6 cool white (QTY: 2)
- Front Doors: T13x6 wedge base blue (QTY: 2)
- Glove Box: 74-xHP3 wedge base blue (QTY: 1)
- Center Console: 74-xHP3 wedge base blue (QTY: 1)

Installed the lights today except the vanity lights, feels like I'm going to break them so I'm going to tackle them tomorrow. Ordered all mine in cool blue and think it turned out awesome. Pictures don't do it justice.

I have to be honest. I don't love the blue interior lights. Seems too juvenile for a car like the TL. Plus it hinders how much you can actually see at night, no? To each his own though
I am about to order my LEDs from superbrightleds.com - anyone have a coupon code? I was looking around the v-leds.com website but its way too confusing for me, I like the set-up of superbright a lot better. Here's what I'm getting:
(4) WLEDx6 front and rear domes
(4)921x9 doors and Lic plate
(2) WLEDx4 vanity
all in Cool White
I'll see if I can post pics when I get em in

Completed my mod Here are just a few pics, they didn't come out that great.. my only camera is a blackberry.. I also took a pic to really show what the vanity lights look like once you get them off. I didn't see any that gave a good idea of what you were actually working with and I just thought it was a lens cover like the rest of the lights:
This is the pass side vanity with old bulb still in. Gives a good idea of taking the cover off. I found best tool was a butter knife and for the vanity's you want to go in for the tabs from the center of the car (DR side go from right, PS go from left)

agreed. Mine are not the blue though they are "cool white" that gives off a bluish tint .. looks very good but pics dont do justice

Got vleds.com. At the bottom of the home page is a bulb selector, which will list the bulb types for every location on the car. Then, browse the site for the bulbs in type & color you need. Like them on facebook and you will get coupon codes.

I found this on youtube. Looks WAY too easy lol..not sure if it's cuz he has all the stuff out of the car. Obviously you don't have to take the whole damn thing out but at least gives you an idea of how to open the light fixtures maybe.
HAHAH just realized nobody has been in this thread for months oops? o well
has anyone used JLC lights?!?

I installed dimmer lights up front rather than brighter. The factory bulbs are too bright, they hurt my eyes and I dont want to be on display when I turn on the light at night. In a lot of other cars I had, the dome light was over my head.. Not in front of my face. haha I mean, I would rather have the light shining forward onto the dash or in the footwell.. not in my face. Bad location in my opinion.

Guys, I need your help here...
I'm trying to get a set of dome lights for my TL, what I want is a normal amount of light, I don't need flood lights inside the car.
I found these http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...-p6691894.html in another thread, but they are sold out. Also I can't seem to find dome lights at vleds...
I also looked at http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/l...-1071--448498/
But I'm not too sure where to pick. My main requirement is I want them to be WHITE. I don't want a blue hue to it, if anything I'd tolerate a yellow tint, but what I would really like is something white like Mr. GuitarPlayer16 has in his thread.

Many thanks in advance!
