Interested in group buy for sun shade?

Can we have a show of hands of people interested in a group buy for the Heatshield sun shade that's custom made for 04 TL? The information page is here: http://www.canvasworks.com/ahs1.html

The price, when buying 2 is $25 per shade and shipping is $3-9. Depending on the quantity, it's highly likely we can get the price down to $15-20. So, please post if you're interested and I will contact Canvas Works.

Thank you.

Besides the fact that this is custom-cut for our car, how is this different than those sunshade things you can buy at an autoparts store? I used to have one of those and I got lazy so I stopped using it

Other than fit, I don't think it would be different in a meaningful way. There are some climates in which you simply have to use it all the time, lazy or not. I have a black interior and don't like to burn myself every time I get in the car in the summer.

I'd be buying two myself so that's 7 total so far. I'm hoping that we can get to something like 20 or more.

California summers can get pretty gnarly. I too have a black interior. I have never owned a car with a leather interior so this summer should be interesting.

As soon as I see a picture I might be interested in it too... You guys have convinced me (especially since I see so many Bay Area folks wanting one).

They're based in Sunnyvale, btw.

Can you possibly stop by and see what they look like folded and unfolded and report here?

Thanks.

Right, I saw that, but was wondering if that makes for too long of a tube to stick under the seat in the back. If it's long, maybe it's possible to fold it in half after rolling? I thought there was at least one person on this board who bought one; maybe he can weigh in...

I got one back in January. It fits a little too snug for me. I keep missing up my rear view mirror. It does do a nice job insulating the car though. I had one of their shades for my prelude and was very happy with it. Nice product overall.

I got mine today. It is fairly bulky when rolled up: ~5in in diameter. I wish it were a little bit more compact. It will not fold after rolling since it is fairly stiff.

I wonder how much better it is than the fan-fold cardboard shades .

I would be in for 2. My brother and I both have the 04 TL. You should all experience an OK summer at 115 degrees....you would want one too. LOL. Keep me posted on what you find out. Thanks.

Exclamation Update

I have e-mailed Canvas Works asking about a possibility of a quantity discount last week. I have still not heard back from them and there doesn't appear to be a phone number on their Web site. I'm going to send another e-mail tomorrow.
