Intake manifold cleaning

I'm about to do my valve adjustment soon and that requires taking off the intake manifold. How would I go about to cleaning the inside of the manifold? Is it safe to remove the screws on the side to get into it? Also what chemicals is safe to use??

I had a hole in my intake so my car was breathing in a bunch of nasty air. The insides of the manifold looked really dirty so I would need to open it up and clean it with a scrub and carb cleaner. But is it safe to do so? Do I need to buy any sealants or new gaskets??

What's the part number for the gasket? I can find the part number for the upper intake manifold cover gasket but not one for the intake manifold itself.

If you're talking about separating the two halves of the upper mani itself it's a liquid gasket, Hondabond or whatever it's called.

The service manual says to replace both gaskets. I totally missed that before I did my valve adjustment, so I just reused the old ones and I've had no issues after 125K miles since they went back on.....

I know that those gaskets usually don't need to be replaced unless it's damaged as stated by ericthecarguy from YouTube. It always is beneficial to replace them but it's not always necessary.

What I'm really trying to do is open the intake manifold in half and cleaning out everything while it's off the car. A user above stated that it's glued together by hondabond or something like that. It sounds like a pain to remove and reapply and install. Is it even worth doing or should I just spray the insides as much as I can with carb cleaner and call it a day?
