I just got rimmed up yesterday and i called my insurance company to add the wheels to my policy and they said they would not do it because its not a "Mechanical" piece of the car .......
THATS BULLSHIT ....
anybody have any ideas on what i can do?
do you think there are companies out there that will insure just a set of wheels and tires ???
Thanks in Advance

When I purchased my car, insurance through a private company was offered to me. At first, the dealer wanted $500 for 5 years worth of tire and rim coverage. I got the insurance for $3 a month on my 42 month lease. I have the worst luck with tires and I seem to hit every pothole in the city. I just made a claim for $1100 for 2 new tires and rims. I will be getting the check in two weeks. The insurance was a great investment for me as I have 33 months still left on my lease.
