Impressive MPG...
I just drove from Wilmington to Jacksonville, NC (Camp Legune) and got 33mpg. Average speed was 60mph but speeds between town were a steady 65-70mph. I'm impressed because this is the same mpg my K24 powered 8th gen Accord would get. I will tell you i wasn't heavy on the gas and tire pressure is a nitrogen filled 40psi.

I think the best I was ever able to obtain with my TL was 29 or maybe 30mpg on the highway.
My RSX-S was 35mpg on the highway and run high 13s. K-pro and no cat FTW...

Not bad, highest I got on the MID was 27MPG but average speed was only about 31mph.
Then it gradually came down as I drive through town lol.
My Civic can get anywhere from 31-38MPG on the highway.

Very nice! There have been a couple of long distance road trips, I've gotten 33 or 34mpg avgs so its definitiely possible, but that is on premium gas of course!
Typically, I get 30 or 31 mpgs on normal highway driving, but my avgs are typically 27-28mpg each week in the spring and fall (best mpg of the year) and right now, with the summer, it typically goes down to 25mpg avgs due to the higher temps and more frequent use of the A/C! Not bad for a luxury sedan though! I overall have been pretty pleased with the base TL mpg!

The TL gets amazing MPG on the freeway! I think the best speed is 74 MPH, most members including myself have gotten at least 33 MPG doing that speed. According to the hacked navi, it puts me at 35 MPG doing 74MPH.

I did the return trip via interstate at 78mph and mpg dropped to 29 which im still impressed by. My CL-S 6speed did about the same if memory serves me correct. It helps living on the coast to get these kind of numbers.

In September, 2005, the wife and I headed out on our vacation trip. We got a late start because we were watching a hurricane develop off the coast of South Carolina, so we didn't leave until noon. Temperature was 86 degrees, car was loaded for a week's stay and traffic was moderately heavy on I-95 but moving. First leg was 50 miles on 55 MPH four-lane highway where we averaged 62 MPH. Second leg was I-95 in Virginia, 65 MPH speed limit, and we averaged 72-73 MPH. Final leg before a stop was on I-95 in North Carolina, 70 MPH speed limit, where we were doing 76-78 MPH. Used the A/C the entire time, car had the OEM Bridgestone EL42's at factory pressure.
Our average for this part of the trip, calculated and not the MID of course, was 33.94 MPG. Best I have ever managed on a road trip. The last time I made this same trip was six weeks ago and I got just over 31 MPG using no A/C (early morning), and tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus.

From here to Wilmington I usually get 30-32 mpg. Not bad considering I'm always messing with the cruise control and passing people.

Well, I can tell you, that I didn't get this mpg, both weekly avgs, and long distance highway mpg, until I switched to Shell Premium about 1 year ago now! Before, I was using Hess and Exxon Premium and was getting 22-23mpg avgs, even with using cruise control, light foot on the gas, etc! After about 5-6 fill ups with Shell I began seeing the improvements!

I once had to do the Emission Test on my TL when i just Got it. but apparently my battery was disconnected so my ECU had no Emission Data. To pass the Test i had to condition my car according to owners manual. had to drive between 55-60 mph for 15 min. MID said 35 mpg. Not bad for a 6 cylinder. 6speed manual.

A lot of people have had great luck with Chevron so that is another one and 76 is another, which can be found usually right of the interstates!
The only difference I can tell why the Shell gas is better is that on both the Hess and Exxon pumps, it said 10% ethanol, while all the Shell stations I've been to don't say that on the pump!
