Imagine i-Vtec I (65:1 fuel ration) on TL V6

this is a beauty.....they have a 3.0 i-Vtec in japan, but this is the new i-Vtec I......direct injention were a 65:1 fuel ratio can be achived.

doesnt this make a problem for the modders tho? we already have a problem with teh 11:1 ratio.....i mean...this is like a sure way to prevent any turbo from being made for this engine

....air/fuel ratio != compression ratio. 65:1...holly shit that is SUPER lean....I wouldn't want to mod that....

Wow! A 65:1 fuel ratio would be great on the highway.

BTW AzNxJ32Aspec, they aren't talking about a compression ratio. They're talkling about air/fuel ratio. The J32A2 engine (below VTEC) is up around 14-15:1 (nice and lean) and drops to around 10-11:1 while in VTEC (=gas hog while in VTEC).

What are fuel ratio of the 04TL and 04Accord V6? Anyone knows?

that engine makes about 160hp and 138lbs of toque if anyone was curious. i guess that is highoutput for a 4 banger. if that engine was in a civic maybe but not even a TSX would be happy driving with that engine. i dunno the gas mileage you would get on that car but i bet it would be around then 40mpg area.

hell the civic's are already at 32/39 mileage rated.. if that took it from 40:1 to 65:1, I'd hope you see more improvement than that.

Tho the Si engine is already at 160HP.

They simply need to apply the same technology to their V6 engines now.
