I have some extra cash on hand and looking to spend it on the car. I love the rear and side of the kit but I'm not to fond of the front mask. I'm stuck!

I agree with you. I like the side and rear, but the front is a bit gaudy. It also adds unnecessary weight and nothing in terms of performance.

yeah its a hard decision...i have the aspec kit on my 08 tls and thought it was a little too aggressive looking. personally i am thinking about getting the regular tl bumper and putting the aspec on that. either that or maybe trying to customize the aspec on tls a little.

Check out the RonJon Aero Kit...it's awesome. Plus, the nose on the RonJon is better looking, in my opinion. It's more money than Aspec, but worth it if you can afford it. Click on the upper right hand corner of AcuraZine.com to see it.

That's the entire bodykit right? You have to change your bumpers?

Yes, but I bet you can sell your OEM bumpers and get some decent cash out of them. A new painted bumper is at least $600.

It is the entire body kit...I asked Rondy at RonJon about buying only the nose and he said they only come as a complete kit with nose, side skirts and tail. You don't have to change anything-just take off the stock assembly and reattach the RonJons.

I personally think the TL-S A-Spec is hot as hell. I also think the regular TL A-Spec is hot too tho.

Get the a spec kit and install it...def worth it and the ron jon is way too pricey.....i like the a spec kit more....more classy than the ron jon..gl

I think the RONJON kit is the absolutely gorgeous. Makes me want a TL just for it.

If I had to choose, I would go for the Aspec kit over RonJon. Maybe I'll do the side and rear and leave the front for now until something else becomes available.

at first I thought the same, front alittle gaudy,but after a while it grew on me.I couldn't picture my tl-s without it now.......

I am in the same boat as the OP. Ideally someone out there with a NBP TL that is not a type-s would want to do a front bumper swap with me so they could either have the type-s front look with or without the aspec lip. That way I could use either a 04-06 aspec lip or 07-08 tlp aspec lip.

i feel the same way about the mask of a spoiler they made for the type-s. i cant get over it and it hasn't grown on me. i got the base 07-08 a-spec spoiler im gonna have my bodyshop do some custom work on it to make it fit. the car will be in the shop before weeks end. i'll have type-s rear spoiler, sides and custom molded base a-spec. while it's there i'll have them repaint the front and rear bumpers to color match the car. it's alittle off i have a WDP. i'll post picks of the finished project.

lol mark i was gonna say the same thing!!!!..... but yea Id get the whole kit.....the front i disliked when it dropped as well but then i saw it in person a few times and was like whooaa something different! i didnt think acura had it in them.

You might as well make them custom fit/mold the 04-06 aspec if you're going to do some alterations.

wont fit at all bro. i've researched it. the lip or edge in the center below the ACURA lettering on the 07-08 base or type-s wont allow it to mount on. older bumpers are flush. trust me i would have got the older a-spec spoiler i like it alot. swapping the bumpers would be the way to go if you want the older style spoiler.
i like the type-s bumper it sets it apart from the base TL and older years. thats why im doing it this way.
