I'm sick of the transmission problems with this 6MT. If Acura will buy the car back, I'm thinking of getting the new BMW 1 Series, it's a smaller car, but a twin-turbo I6 with 300hp/300tq and RWD has to be at least a little fun..

I was also thinking of an IS 350, it doesn't seem very sporty, but the local Lexus dealership has insane incentives, they'll store a set of wheels/tires seasonally, and I can get a free car wash weekly for six years.. There's a lot of other stuff, listed on their web page: http://metrolexus.com If I switched to the Lexus, it'd be more for the service than the car.. After jumping through hoops with Acura, I want to be pampered.

Anyone have experience with the IS 350 or a similar BMW?

I test drove the IS350 twice before deciding on the TL... I didn't really like it... Interior was bland and it honestly didn't feel like it was 300HP (TL felt faster). It was also too small for me (it's considered a compact compared to the TL's mid-size classification). Lexus service is infinitely superior to Acura service. For the most part, Acura stealerships treat you like you're a nuisance to them every time you take your car to them, while Lexus for the most part treats you like royalty (i.e. they are actually happy to work on your car)

No go on the 135 IMHO, I mean yeah its a "sports" car but it's so....um..ugly? IS350 is definitely a nice car, and just like desert_TL, I picked the TL over it as well. If you're going to switch for sure I'd say definitely the IS350 over 135
