just as the title stated but with some nice 21s, like GFG rims or such. i think the new TL has a resemblance of the 745, or that same style which allows the same style of rims...

yea, i guess the snow could be bad, but if you can afford to drop 4-5k on rims, you should be able to afford winter tires, or just use stock...
Vtec, i'm not sure if it would look nice or not, but i would like to see it...

Re: I wanna see a 04 TL with 21 inch rims
Sorry to burst your bubble but the dimensions of the TL and the 745 are not anywhere near similar. The 745Li is 203.5 inches long vs the 189.3 of the TL (the TL is 7% shorter). But it's less than 4% shorter. If you adjust downward from the BIG BOAT 745 to the midsized TL, you would only need 19's to replicate the effect of the 20's. Personally thats the largest "attractive" wheel you can put on that Beemer.

And the concept TL A-spec will feature a wild bodykit and 21" wheels, for those with no brains that are interested. SHould be on the show circuit next year.

i'm not talking about the dimensions b/c the TL is a MID-sized car as you said, i never said anything about size, only style, but the 04 TL has a german LOOK, like the 745. the largest attractive wheel is subjective. I've seen 745 with 22inch GFG rims which looked very nice. Hartge, and you know who hartge is, also has a nice set for the 745 which are 22 inches. getting side tracked, i just thought the 745 and the 04 TL had the same STYLE nothing else. i saw a 04 TL with 19s, i thought the offset was too high and the rims looked too small.
Lex, how am I blind? So you wouldn't say the new TL has moved toward a MORE german appearance than last year.
No brains?

the RIGHT set of rims with the RIGHT offset in 21 would look amazing on this car. dont worry, you put 21's on a tl, and no one will be able to say anything bad.

Why would you do that to such a nice car? Forget it, just do away with the tire altogether and give the outside of the wheel a nice coat of black paint. Go steamroller style!

If anything I would go with 20"s......Personally 19"s would look the best, because the overall size of the stock rim/tire. If you oversized the overall size, the car will look weird, kind of like floating, very ugly, so that means that if you oversized the overall you need to lower the car. Then again you will run into fitting issues and rubbing. If you are going to put 21"s, please pay attention to the width of the rim and offset.

Now I know I'm old, I don't understand the craze of huge rims, not width wise but diameter wise, I just don't get it. I like wheels that tuck in nicely and give the car a tough look.
When the wheels get so damn tall they take over the view of the car's profile, they dominate it and the car seems out of proportion.
Than again, maybe I'm just gettin old...
