I think my TL is a lemon
hey guys,
alright here's the deal. i have a 6mt 2005 tl, and i'm really considering it is a lemon. my car has been in the shop 4 times for the clutch pedal clicking/popping sound. its to a point where its more than just a sound, and has more of a grinding feeling to it.
va lemon laws state that if a vehicle has had three attempts at repairing the problem, and the problem still resides, then that vehicle is a lemon. so now i'm contemplating whether to get a lawyer and file a report, or write to corporate first. can you guys offer me an suggestions? thanks.

The Lemon law ONLY applies to new cars. Did you buy it new or used? If you bought it used your SOL (sh!.. Outta Luck). If it's new and just taken a year for them to see the car three times (for the same offense), then you need to act quickly. I think there is also a time-limit on ownership.

It has to be a driveability problem. I wouldint ditch the car because of one single repeat problem, I would go to another dealer to have it fixed. That is an easy fix, with some shims, I am sure the dealer is just retarded.
