there's no way it'll be done by 7/31 ..i estimate 3+ weeks going by the length my 03 accord coupe was in the shop with similar damages except for the quarter panel,, the upsides were i got a new carbonfiber hood and trunk and a complete paint job.. and then 2 months later i sold it and got my RL<3

You got hit pretty bad, so I highly encourage you to see a few doctors...But I'm glad to hear that everyone is ok. I got rear ended last month, but the guy took off.
Keep us updated
P.S. From my experience, even when I'm braking, I observe the rear view mirror...just to avoid being smacked.... saved my life once when an 18 wheel trailer seem to slide into me during rain...I ran the red light, otherwise I would of been like an ornament on his truck, lol.

Listen, you may want to get in touch with your own insurance and see if they can represent you in this. It's their obligation. Personally, I wouldn't want that car fixed. My mother had a new car replaced by the other party's insurance after enough complaining after their client hit my mother in her new saturn. Fight it!

the shop i've been to is Classic automotive in queens and they're highly recommended..they had lotus,beamers and benz's in there all top quality work with a european down draft paint booth..the paint job on the accord was better than factory.

^^^ cars these days are designed to crumble, thus absorbing the pressure...letting you live.
. Glad you're ok. The other driver should have been kicked in the butt real hard so he knows how painful it's to get hit in the rear.

Who do you have insurance with NixMason? Although ur damage wasnt as bad as mine was, I curious to see if they will actually total the car. If you can get away with it, I definitely can get away with it!

Sorry to hear. Glad your all ok though. Over the past winter I got into an accident also and guess what my loaner was? An Aveo! Just like yourself. The biggest POS of a car since the Festiva and Metro days.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your car!! That sucks! I hope you can get you car situation straighted out asap so you dont have to be driving around in an Aveo!! No offense to any Aveo owners but you just dont go from a TL-S to an Aveo just like that, I think they should have given you at least a Nissan Maxima rental

I had the same thing happen to my 04 TL - 6 Speed Anthracite, with only 2 months of use!
The lady behind me had no insurance, was on the cell phone and under a lot of medication for cancer treatment, and chemo... Police said the should not even be driving...
trunk + 1/4 panel + NAV DVD unit got destroyed
So $11,800 and 4 months later, I got my car back... Since I fugure it would loose value because of the crash (and by law you have to disclose this info) I called my insurance back (All-State) to collect "Dimnished Value" and they sent an inspector, and 1 month later I collected a check for another $6500. hope this info helps others recover their loses, I'm glad you seem to be in good health...
