why dont u just get an oem ballast or oem like ballast to replace the one that went out ... instead of going for a new hid kit?

u can usually find an oem around 70-80 bux on the BM or ebay. oem is the way to go, espcially because it covers the hole in the bottom of the light, preventing moisture and water getting in

Cheaper isn't always better when it comes to your HID components. You can contact Matt at The Retrofit Source and see if he has any OEM TL ballasts.

I have a set of Matsushita gen 4 ballasts sitting around somewhere I believe if you're looking for an OEM. I'm sure it won't fit in the spot where our OEM one sits because they have an octagon like shape.

Your fogs operate at 100% versus if you install DRLs itw ill cut the power to around 50% thus the color and intensity of a HID will be lowered.

If you plan to strictly keep it DRL then you might as well get a Nokya or Hoen yellow bulb. If you plan to still keep the upper fog then you can go HIDs.
IF you have 07/08 headlights you will run the risk of melting the shroud/bezel with a HID.

Believe the ballasts on the 07-08 are a little smaller than the 04-06 ones. Everything will operate just fine if you a buy the newer ones, but I think you'll also have to buy a newer bracket to hold the ballast in place.
